I think that in the next issue they'll actually be able to kill Palpatine, but he'll resurrect in orden to appear in ep 6. However, that could give more context to the phrase Palpatine says in ep 9: "I have died before".

Yes i think this will go nowhere So in numero 49 they decided to save Han Solo but finally no ? And they go find this box ans try to use her ? Strange. Also between this event and ROTJ some other stories are tell like the Leia novel where she had to help the fleet regroup on Sullust and an other where Luke fight with rebels and is attempt by the emperor to fall to the dark side. (And also the moment where Leia captures Boush and had to rescue Lando and Chewie from Bossk.) These are all the events that are chronologically between the issue 49 and episode 6.
