I remember on Artoo’s original card you could see a bit of C-3PO’s hand slightly above his dome which they appear to have removed for this Retro edition. It always bugged me as a kid as I initially didnt know what it was but thought it looked like C-3PO, being all shiny and gold. But such was the primitive state of photo editing back then (ie non-existent!), so whoever cut out the R2 picture for some unfathomable reason left that bit of 3PO in! Looks fantastic, and your R2 sticker is straight - saw a couple reviewers who had crooked stickers and that would drive me nuts in, so here’s hoping mine will be nice and straight, perfect dome, etc, etc! The droids were my first 2 figures as a kid and I love them to this day and can’t wait for this blast from the past! Of course my favorite Kenner R2 figure overall was Sensorscope R2 and here’s hoping it wont take 10 years for Hasbro to release that retro figure and 3PO w removable limbs! :-) Great vid, thx for sharing!!!

I've ordered a set of these! I am happy to hear they are on thicker cards. I reluctantly decided to cancel my order for the return of the Jedi wave when I found out they were on thin cards.

I thought these only just went up?! They limited them to one per person and they sold out within a couple of hours - in the US they had no limit and they still haven't sold out - well done Hasbro!

Very nice indeed !! No card wear effects , thicker card stock , no retro sticker and some pics / info of figure on back of card then it would be perfect !!!!!!

I'd have no problem with the Retro logo being printed on the card if it was small. The sticker is way too big.

Great unboxing and review video, Matt. Even I can appreciate how nice these Retro Star Wars figures look. But the stickers and fake damage to the cardbacks, really do NOTHING for these figures.

Cardboard is cheap, don t really match originals. I don t understand why they do not produce never seen before figures from the original trilogy....? Tarkin was a good Idea and now ?

I really don't understand these. I like the retro line for the mando figures etc and collect and open them with my son. But I can't be arsed with these ... millions of these first 12 out there .. why not get the real ones. These figures are poorly reproduced, on awful flimsy cards. The jedi ones are really bad with poor paint and poor moulding. Meh. I enjoy collecting the new characters in the retro line but I just don't see the point or like the reproduced vintage figures.
