Most of what I'm seeing in the comments is how some people are saying that it's someone's fault that Anakin was inducted into the Jedi Order and that he shouldn't have ever been in there to begin with because of his actions and his past. To those people: do you even wonder what would have happened if Anakin NEVER started out as a Jedi or never became one to begin with? Do you ever think that maybe Anakin's whole Chosen One Prophecy had transpired exactly to how the Force had wanted it to happen? Sure, Anakin showed alot of traits that would label him as a Sith. But even so, he was still as much a Jedi and a Human as the next Jedi or Sith. He also wasn't the most orthodox Jedi of his time. In fact, if you were to look at the Master-Apprentice lineage starting from Count Dooku to Qui-Gon Jinn to Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker and finally to Ahsoka Tano, you're pretty much looking at a long line of Jedi who are almost entirely unorthodox and they have struggled to stay on the path of the Jedi. Some more than others, if you get my meaning. If anything, this shows that they were more human than they were Jedi. Also, let's not forget that all that Anakin had done when he became Vader, he thought he was killing the Jedi for Padme's sake. Sure his morals got twisted and such. But isn't such a thing often the danger of being a Jedi or Sith? Forsaking and denying the part of you that is a living and feeling person for the sake of a religious and mystical branch of the Force? If anything, the Great Jedi Purge was a miracle compared to what the Jedi would have done to themselves had their Order continued on as it had done (the Clone Wars PROVES this, just look at Barriss Offee and Pong Krell). Also, the whole Chosen One Prophecy was open to interpretation. None of the Jedi knew what "balance" truly meant, not even Yoda. If anything and Judging from what happened in both Episodes 3 and 6, I believe that "balance" meant that Anakin had to destroy both the Jedi AND the Sith, leaving the Force to be able to make both the Jedi and the Sith better than what they once were. And let's face it, the Old Jedi Order was far from perfect. The same can be said for the Sith.

I believe this was what the prophecy was on about. But I think they was a lot of mistakes a long the way, which led to a lot of sorrow. from episode 1 you can see that the jedi was following their code to closely it is why qui gon was never on the counsel, he was a morally grey jedi, that wanted to do good for the sake of it. The plot is on point, if qui gon took anakin under his tutelage he would have trained him to be morally grey without unleashing his anger. Obi-wan was much closer to the jedi code, seen how he disagrees with some of his masters views and how he listens to the council over his own padawan a lot of the time. this is why he says "i have failed you, anakin, I have failed you" becouse he ultimately saw that he had turned anakin away from the jedi order. through out episode 3 obi-wan is defending anakin, he reasures yoda and mace that they can trust anakin, and also states to anakin the he is not asking him to spy, the council is, stating he does not agree on the council. I believe if they was not separated by grievas. Obi-wan would be the one apprehending palpotine and not mace. and both anakin and obi wan would have addressed the council together about its policies. And ultimately see that pushing your feelings away completely is a bad idea. Anakin gets to see that padme is ok (due to not being choked) gives birth to twins, stays on the council due to policy changes, becomes a master and goes to get ahsoka back. but the plot puts them in situations which make the central characters make bad decisions that ultimately lead to the prophecy being drawn out.

@@THEROSSAGE sorry i have to disagree with you on Qui gon training Anakin to be a Grey jedi as Qui gon himself knew that Obi wan was the better choice to train Anakin as Obi wan was better at hiding his unorthodox views than Qui gon was therefore was in a better position too get on the council and start to change the way things were done thus getting Anakin knighted and eventually on the council had Anakin been more patient

@@satinekenobi4ver855 This is never stated. What I'm saying is from what I believe not only that filoni stated that Lucas told him the dual of the fates was just that. Anakin lost a father figure that would have trained him properly. Obi wan followed to closely the jedi way. It's a theme throughout the movies. Luke in ROJ thinks unorthodoxely and both yoda and Obi wan think that they have lost only Luke believes they haven't. Watch ROJ then TPM the similarities between qui gon and Luke are uncanny.

@@THEROSSAGE sadly i do not agree or believe that the force ever intended for Qui gon too be Anakins Master or for Qui gon to train him don't i think that was ever the forces plan .but i do think that had Qui gon survived the battle on Naboo it would have given Obi wan someone to turn too other than the council for help with training Anakin . But as a father figure and master Qui gon was not a good choice as he was a very uncaring man who had already screwed up two padawans one so badly he turned to the darkside (Xantos )and other ( obi wan) he dumped in a war zone at only 13 years old because he was more his injured lady friend than the 13 year old child that he was supposed be looking after and protecting . Qui gon was a massive failure as master and father in a lot ways to Obi wan . Obi wan on other hand Never would have abandoned Anakin at only 13 on a war torn planet for a woman the way qui gon did to Obi wan nor would he have made Anakin live in a former Padawans Shadow the way Qui gon made Obi wan live Xantos Shadow for years and he certainly would never have denounced a Anakin infront of the council for a other Padawan the way Qui gon did too Obi wan. Qui gon would have been a good Grandmaster/ grandfather figure to Anakin but he would have been a rubbish master/ father figure .

THIS VIDEO is one of my all-time favorite videos on youtube, all-time, ever!! I hardly come across such a perfect video, honestly! Your editing was spot-on, the clips matched the lyrics HAUNTINGLY (gave me chills and made me tear up), effects made an impact when used (not excessive)! I've envisioned this song set to Star Wars practically since I first heard it and your video makes me glad I never set out to make a video myself... you can't top this one! You really can't. Star Wars has been one of my all-time favorite obsessions, this video practically rekindled it in just a few minutes. EPIC. Tragic. Everything the song speaks of IS ABOUT ANAKIN. My husband sat me down and made me watch every single star wars film starting from the 70s one. Wow there was so much I missed. He had me do this before we saw the last one in theaters. You Boo? The Entire Star wars movies were about VADER AKA Anakin...Like all sith lords there is a deep tragedy in the story . What you most likely do not know is what went on between the first mask being put on till Luke Saved Anakin. VADER killed MILLIONS and MILLIONS....
