Star Wars Armada Cancelation Reaction

Well, it’s finally happened. Atomic Mass Games has made an announcement that many of us were expecting for a while now: Support and Development for Star Wars Armada is officially coming to an end. Here is my reaction.

I really like your outlook on Armada, and agree with a lot of what you said and point out. I'm going to have to start listening to your podcast, glad I caught this in my feed. Thank you for posting. I can confirm the following for you: AdeptiCon 2025 is the end of AMG support for Star Wars: Armada. They (AdeptiCon) will continue support of the game at future cons. - Ken (ION Radio)

Of course, no one is shocked. As soon as it was handed off to Atomic Mass Games, the writing was on the wall. They had no interest in either X-wing or Armada. I am surprised that Legion still has a 3-year plan, because it is clear to me that AMG is focused on Shatterpoint and Crisis Protocol. They don't care too much about Legion either. However, I like "Dead Games" because now they are open for the community to own. As a player, I can make it exactly the game I want to play. I did this for a number of years with Forgeworld's Aeronautica Imperialis game for many years and had a blast.
