IMO Battlefront 1 was BETTER than Battlefront 2. Sure. space combat in BF2 was cool, but the actual ground maps were a lot better in BF1, with Dune Sea and this version of Geonosis being my absolute favorites.

Definitely! BF1 also had aditional map specific NPCs, like tuskens, bugs, ewoks, etc. that made it feel even more like an actual battle

Unfortunately the New Crap just doesn't Compare from a Game Play point of view... I LOVED the Space Battles. If you wanted a Different Ship you could just Land on Either Side's Capital Ship and jump into a Fresh Ship and Get Back Into The Fight!

This mission used to drive me bonkers. I kept dying trying to take the fight to the droids on the ground. Droidekas were the worst to deal with, once their shields went up I had to run for cover. The key to beating this mission for me was using the LAAT Gunships.

Had a play of this map earlier. Whilst I prefer Battlefront II, I think this version of Geonosis is better, as it's more accurate to the film, and you can fly the gunships. Hard if you're playing as the Republic, as the Droidekas and Geonosians are a pain!

When I turned 3 in 2004 I started playing this game, I played it till 2010 until my computer broke. This is one of the greatest star wars games in my opinion and it really got me into Star Wars. And the multiplayer never was filled with too good or to bad players it was perfectly balanced!

When i played this mission in skirmish (by myself) i would take the gunship, load it up with clones and fly to the rear of the droids base in the mountain. Then like clone commandos they dismounted and charged in to capture the point. It was rarely successful but very thematic. I loved role playing the gunship pilot. Fuck man, they dont make them like this anymore....

Uhhh, if you played as the rebels in battlefront EA, you literally chose between a fighter and a worthless speeder bike....thats it. 2 genosis levels in the original battlefronts had twice as many vehicles as the new battlefronts ENTIRE GAME, so yes it is true 10x over.

Funny how when you're a kid you can create a " game within a game". I used to fly the gunship around and pretend I was providing air support, then I would pick up troops, and drop them off at an enemy base so they could take it, then repeat the process.

1. If you want the game on PC, you'll have to track down a physical copy from Ebay or "borrow it" from a site (nicoblog.org/ has a copy of it). Unfortunately, Steam and GOG don't have the game for some reason. If you have an Xbox 1, you can get a copy of the original Xbox version of Battlefront 1 and play it since it's a backward compatible game. You could also emulate the PS2 version on PC, but the PC version is the best version of the game so there's no reason to play an inferior version. 2. You don't need a modern gaming computer to run the game optimally. I had an old Thinkpad t400 that ran the game perfect on some lowered settings, and that laptop was usually shit with gaming. Any computer or laptop (excluding stuff like netbooks and chromebooks) from this decade should have no trouble running the game.

I could b wrong, but I think this was the only level u could b down to your last fighter and last until u killed all of them. If u were the republic(? Whatever the clone troopers were) u could hop in one of the transports, hover above that base (so your ammo kept replenishing) and wait for them to come and pick everyone off
