Generally speaking an overheat mechanic for blaster type weapons makes hell of a lot more sense than expecting us to believe the weapon exhausted it's entire power and fuel supply in just 30 shots. Also correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Cycler rifles supposed to be slug weapons?

I would have at least preferred something like Titanfall 2's energy weapon where you actually replace the heatsink in the event of an overheat rather than just stare at the gun.

@@asteroidrules That's a good idea. The user replaceable heat sinks in Mass Effect 2 onwards would be another way to have believable blaster weapons. And yes, I'm aware Mass Effect's guns were personal sized coilguns and not blasters.

@@MartianV2GG that’s with the dc15a the e11 has a scope but the stormtroopers have built in stuff in their helmets that probably helps with that. But with the clones the dc15a doesn’t have a scope not and iron sight so their helmets have a built in targeting system.

I never understood why the Resistance used ionized blaster bolts. It made sense for the clones, since their really effective against droids, but it felt more like a G.I. Joe battle in the sequels, where blue was for good guys and red was for bad guys.

Early concepts for the FG42 included it’s use as a support weapon (GPMG), so some of the prototypes had MG42 barrels. That particular telescopic sight is standard issue for the real FG42.

Given that I absolutely *Despise* the "Aim Down Sights" Mechanic of most Modern FPS Games, and prefer Old School "Zoom Aim" as it allows for far more Peripheral Vision so You can keep Track of Enemies Better, does not reduce the FOV down to sub 60, like ADS does, at which Point I Start feeling Motion Sick (there is a Reason for why I set the FOV in FPS Games at 90-100!) , as Zoom Aim is Closer to 80, and You can see more of the Gun-Model with Zoom Aim as well. So the lack of Aim Down Sights and the use of Classic Zoom Aim instead is to this Games Credit in My Personal Opinion.. Shame that it had to Retain the Frustrating and Prescriptive 2 Weapon Limit, *Nauseating* Expanding Crosshairs, Movement and Stance Affected Shot Accuracy BS, Cheap and Overly Easy Regenerating Health, *Constant* Control Hints (Press Numpad 4 to... sigh. I *rebound My Keys* to a Layout I have been using for *Twenty Five Years!* ! So I do not need to be Told the Controls every 5 Seconds! I *know* what Button does what EA!!), Boring Slow Movement Speed, Irritating Squad based Gameplay and the usual "3 Hour Tutorial for the Multiplayer Modes disguised as a Single Player Experience at best" *Excuse* for a Single Player Campaign that every other Modern FPS is also Blighted with then!

The 4 things I wish for battlefront 3s weapons would be that we had more weapon and customization like getting the clone heavy weapon into a assault type gun because they also hold it differently in older battlefronts and tv shows and not in the heavy stance. The blaster bolts should be like in BF1 2015 again or even better because they aren’t that visible in BF2 2017 and most of the time there isn’t even a blaster bolt in BF2... And I want the guns to sound a little bit more unique like in other media. Classic BF1 and 2 did that great. Some guns had crazy sound no doubt but some sound mediocre in comparison to the good ones and Star Wars is all about the iconic and recognizable sounds And lastly I want more unique blaster overheat animations and not just hol up

SE-44C you did mistake on showcase, he shooting in full auto. Also you showed only stock versions, so many weapons have alternate fire mods when you installing another parts like 4 burst at blurrg or 3 burst mod on t-21, also a280e have another fire mod and dc15le have explosion ammo

Fun fact: the reason why most of the blasters look like old WW2 weapons is because in the making of Star Wars, they didn't have the budget to make weapon props so they bought and modified old weapons to look like futuristic blasters I don't know if anyone else about this, I'm just spreading the fact

Am I completely blind or are there at least eight blasters which use the same base MG-34 model? I understand, that game developing is hard, however how can you use the same model over and over again? This goes for the STG 44, Sten and AR-15 model. So you are going to tell me, that if you somehow cover the charging hanle on the STG 44, it becomes a bloody sniper instead of an assault rifle. And can you tell me, if there is a big-ass scope on the blaster, why can't I use it? If it is for cosmetic purposes, you'd rather remove it, because it covers a big chunk of the screen.

They got all of these blasters from star wars movies and tv shows, so this is not the developers fault. It's a result of the makers of the original star wars movies putting a bunch of stuff on top of ww2 guns to make them look futuristic.

@@loganleutwyler I totally undersrand that, and it is logical, however why did they put these into the game? I mean, if you pick BF5, there are various weapons from the ww2 aera. But they could have included a lot more, but they have not. Because why would it be interesting to use 10 differeng smg-s which look exactly the same. I am talking about weapons like the STEN smg, which consists of a pipe and a mag. I bet, that there are loads of other weapons in the Star wars universe.

@@kilatottengemreal most of them are one off guns that are used by only like one character so DICE could easily defend their choices of blasters by saying that they're only going to include blasters that planetary defense forces or galactic armies used

First, a lot of these weapons are extremely iconic, like the DC-15's and the E-11, and second, the weapons in the game all have decent screen time in the movies and shows, making it easy to get a lot of reference material for models. But I totally agree with you, more unique blasters woulda been nice. Oh also, there's like 3 blasters all based off of the same model of Sterling SMG.

@@ThatSwiggityGuy Yeah, i know, that for example the DH-17 is based on the Sterling, however in the films, they managed to make it different. But with these MG-34-s... They look identical. There are lots of comics where they could have got inspiration for new firearms, or maybe they could have designed their own. I have a lot of ideas for Star wars blasters actually.😅

They should have used the Aim down the sight feature for non scope weapons like they did to some pistols in BF1 And sniper rifles should be reloadable instead of cooling down. especially the Cycler Rifle since that fires actual bullets...

The game is fun so who really cares. Also I don't think there is anything else to cooling Star Wars blasters. In movies they never even bother to do that so its safe to assume that Star Wars blasters just cool off and they're good to go.

Yep. They could've added more, but there are some weapons that are reserve as an equipment, or when using reinforcements or heroes. I remember the first EA battlefront you can have the DL-44 as a regular infantry, but now it's exclusive when you play as Han Solo, and same goes to Boba Fett's EE-3 and other blaster-wielding heroes.

I just hate how not a single weapon has a real reload animation. I would have loved to see how some of these guns reload rather than just the cooling thing. If a CoD4 mod could do it over a decade ago then DICE of all companies could have made some really special and unique animations.

what? star wars guns are blasters not fire weapons like in reality. So guns works like that in SW universe and it cant be different in the game, only the Republic commando gun have reload for some reason

@@Spillow-C no, guns in Star Wars still require reloading. Blasters have this tibanna gas magazine thing which holds a certain amount of tibanna gas. Once all of the gas has been turned into plasma and shot out of the barrel, you need to put in a new tibanna pack. And the cycler rifle is a weapon that shoots solid projectiles.
