Leia has a joint at the base of the neck too but it's limited by the costume collar sculpt. I'm liking these new necks when they have the base joint as well. Range is less than the disc joint, but its more natural. It works for these "real people" toys. I hope Marvel Legends keeps the disc joint though, I like the extremes on the range on muh comic book folks.

I got both of these in the past weak. Been looking for Veers for months and he does not disappoint. One of my favorite Black Series figs to date. The new paint apps are really showing off the excellent sculpting that's been going on for years now. Glad to see that. I will complain about stuck joints and paint removal though. This happened to my Piett that came in the mail yesterday. Both arms/ball joints stuck. Pulling them free removed paint and now I have "white patches" in his underarms. Very annoying. I really don't want a price hike and I hate when it gets brought up, as I'm sure Hasbro see's videos like these. I know it's inevitable, but I don't think "I'll pay whatever the increase is" mentality should be so openly thrown out there like it is so much. Just my opinion. Great review though!!

Veers is pretty cool with the vest & helmut gear minus the paint-bleed on the neck (which is pretty terrible QC). I'll wait for Hoth Leia for my ESB Leia as this one does not do much for me with the all (or too much) whiteness of the outfit (even if movie accurate). Different color vest add & boots hopefully makes the Hoth version more appealing. Agree the Leia face sculpt is money. Thanks for the review.

My Veers ended up with a smudge of blue and red paint above the left elbow hinge. I have no idea how those colors got there because the closest thing is the rank with those colors but it's not even close. It doesn't bother me, I just find it interesting.

Problem with the use of Tarkin parts is that Veers is too short. Also his hair is too gray.

Swap his hands with an extra Krennic. You'll have glossy leather gloves that way....or just hit them with some gloss finish!

Most of my figures are bought via Amazon. Here in Norway a figure (if you can find them, they are not that popular) starts at around $48. Amazon, here I come again :)

I wholeheartedly agree that the BLACK SERIES face printing technology is getting to be ( if not already is ) better than SH FIGUARTS . The crap thing is I have a far easier time getting my hands on SH FIGUARTS STAR WARS action figures than I do getting HASBRO BLACK SERIES ... @ least of late anyway . I mean they make the GAMORREAN GUARD available again but make him exclusive ... again .

Robo did you ever make a custom New Hope space buns Leia using the photo real head? (Or a Slave Leia custom)? And isn't the 40th Leia a whole new head (because the first sculpt was so bad even photo real wouldn't help it!). :-)

I got the SHF so I'm less inclined to use a Hasbro Photo Real head for that, but Slave Leia is still on the list. And I think 40th was a repaint of the original release, can't remember if the sculpt was different.

Great review, as always, but, uhm Robo, you’re practically begging for Hasbro to hike their price up. Here in Europe , they’re already way more expensive, more than 30 of your dollars so, this pricepoint is still acceptible but I’m not paying more because the difference with SH F will be too small. I have the Veers and he’s just amazeballs, I hope to find the Leia here soon.

It's super tight down low where you have to pull it for the armor to sit on the shoulders, I just left it unbuckled after that.

I wish they’d stop the Exclusive crap. One guy goes to the store, buys all of them, puts them on eBay for 2-3x what they paid. Happens at all my Walgreens and Walmarts/Targets here. I check on each of their shipment days and they say the same thing “sold out 1 or 2 guys.” They need to make more and stop the exclusives gimmick.

I would pay the increase because I love them, nothing to do with it being my job. I bought them long before that, and have seen price increases since before Legends was $5.88. I said I don't want to see a price increase, just being realistic and preparing for it.
