Mega pick up Justin, i am so pleased you managed to snag one. IMO i think its the best older Black Series set, the Shadow Scout Trooper is my personal favourite but of course the Shadow Stormtrooper is super cool.I still have mine sealed in its box, one of my favourite BS figures. Really glad I got two of these sets back when they were released. Actually never saw them on Target shelves. I had to ask an employee to get them from the back. It was only afterwards I saw them on an end cap at one Target location out of the eight closest to me.

I remember to saw those packs on clearance for about 15 dollars. At that time I wasn't sure to make the jump to the 6 inch line: that's why I passed it. Now that I'm really into the Black Series, you sure know what is my feeling watching this video...😲😞😭

Quite the glowing review. I can understand in your excitement not finding any flaws or any gripes. Well there was the visor ha ha. I picked this up a couple years ago on eBay and I’m at least glad it’s held value so I don’t feel like a sucker. I’m glad you did a review because I still haven’t removed mine from the box. I will someday. But it was fun to see you take it out.

My first black series ever was boba fett, I only planned on buying him, but once these shadow troopers were announced I had ordered like 5 packs from the target website and then bought 3 more packs in store. Back then it was very easy to pre order or order stuff without it running out or selling out.

I started collecting Black Series at the very beginning of the Red Box line (Finn #1). At the time, there were still scraps of the Blue and Orange line floating around and I managed to get some of them, but not all. This one is missing….☹️, and unless I want to put a scalper’s child through college it’s going to remain that way. Congrats on a nice find, and good review. It’s always good to go back in time. Maybe someday exclusive Vehicles and larger sets will find their way into the Archive Line….🤷🏻‍♂️ (would love to see a re-release of deluxe Jabba). My holy grail figure is Orange #5 Princess Leia (Slave Outfit), a figure we’ll never EVER see again in the history of humankind unless Disney sells Star Wars off to HBO.

What's interesting about the Princess Leia (Slave Outfit) is that Disney has owned Star Wars since before the Black Series existed. The original figure happened under Disney and another interesting thing is that she was part of the Archive fan vote from a couple of years ago. I just got a new set of these for under $70 including shipping today. Great figures, the Shadow Stormtrooper is my favorite out of all the trooper variants. That dark navy blue or whatever dark blue they used as the undersuit color really gives the figures depth and looks better than just having them painted all straight black. This set desperately needs a rerelease. The secondary market has these listed at ridiculous prices of twice retail or even up to three or four times retail price.

Top plastic Ricker!!! Awesome set and so happy for you brother. I've actually found this now on line in the UK at a paltry 250 quid! Bloody 250 quid! Not happy with that....Don't absolutely love the stormie, but dear me, the biker scout, (see original vintage kenner cardbacks for the proper names of characters!) is good. I proper love this figure and would deffo have it in my top ten. As for the speedy bike, it may be small but it sure is mighty. Only have the hoe bike so it irks me I'm only on 25% of bs bike capacity. The imp logos look super cool. Surprised by the cardboard dio as well. That would be straight on a shelf with a few OG villains on it. As a final note, after spending bloody hours and hours rearranging my shelves recently, I put a strip of LED's around the edge for a highlight and randomly put the gg stormie next to the strip to highlight his translucent goodness and noticed you can see straight through the elbow joint which is fixed by what appears to be a fine metal toothed cog, which looks like the innards of a mechanical watch. Never noticed this before and I bet not too many people have either. A small but really fascinating thing to see.....

Honestly as far as the older stuff goes, I'd love to get the Jabba that comes with Salacious Crumb and the hookah. However, I have the single release of Jabba and the Kowakian monkey-lizard got released in that Disney pack. Nothing compares to the grail that is the Shadow Squadron set! -Justin
