Incredible! When I first started watching Smugglers Room, you're the one that inspired me to use greeblies and make larger architecture pieces from appliance parts, etc. In one of my builds, Han and Chewie are working on a speeder (built from one of my wife's deodorant stick containers), on a race paddock built from the plastic grate from our first high-def TV! Being into the miniature tabletop hobby myself I really appreciate these type of builds. What you’re actually doing is world building, so it would be great to see a series of interconnected dioramas that expand upon this piece. You can even create a whole backstory to go along with it.

What fantastic scale build Brian! Love the rock work and all the little details within. Especially liked the fire LED's in the bottom part of the roaster. I really like that you continue to use junk or "stuff" you have on hand like the coffee maker. Just today I walked past a small pool leaf filter I had and was ready to trash it. Then the builder in me slapped me. It soon became another power lamp or room prop in my head. I stored it on the shelf as a future build piece. So, I think it's so important that we see you take that approach and further solidify that it was always good for all of us to do!

Between the "food truck" skiff and now this little ristorante bistro, you're really tapping into one of the more 'mundane' parts about Star Wars that is always either overlooked or outright ignored; food! In the movies and shows, the food is always either those tic-tac/pill looking things Luke had in Empire or it's just a vague liquid like the "broth" from Mando s1. So this is awesome. Great idea, great build, and I can't wait for more additions to this project!

Your ability to "see beyond" a particular object, piece, component, part, or device is amazing. As a kid, I used to scavenge in my dad's workshop things he no longer used or needed and turn them into Star Wars things, I recall an old cardboard storage drum that ended up becoming a rough astromech droid that I could play alongside in my adventures,.mom gave me an old stainless steel mixing bowl that became the dome, some old 1970s era control panel lights and I was good to go. I am slowly trying to find that old part of me. Your channel has inspired me once again.

Now I’m very much not a fan of sports, but, in this case I feel the need to use a sportball term. Brian and Carissa y’all have just hit a double header grand slam field goal thingy*. First off, that coffee maker was jam packed with amazing greeblies. The entrance panel is just perfect. Second: getting a first glance at the size/scale of one level of the pit is making this project feel real. Real big. C, or Fifth(?): I love that the first candidate for the pit is a BBQ pit. There is so much detail. So much texture. So much going on. And it’s not even done yet. Glad to see my little addition to the project. James (of course) did a great job modeling up the meats. I’m gonna have to try my hand at some of your painting techniques. Especially if I ever get my food truck made. I’m hoping y’all are gonna have your own action figures for your shop. Not just paper cutouts. Make them available in the shop. I’ll absolutely buy a set. And I’m sure many of us would love them. And you’ll have to include the next gen smuggler (aka your nephew). So glad you’re involving him in your shop. Now, get back to work my friends. * I’m guessing this is a very high praise?

That's awesome, I love the scale diorama! You've probably already known, but the dollar stores are great for weird army or sci fi figures that come with good accessories for set decorations, and greeblies. I recently bought a army figure for like $4 that came with a couple barrels, a searchlight, a sand bag barrier, a funky steampunk looking skateboard, and weapons. Gotta love the weird random accessories, lol. But you mix that with the guy who comes with a jetpack and a dinosaur, and you can make great stuff.

For speed paints or contrast paints, it’s best to use them with a lighter undercoat. A great method with them is something called slapchop. Basically you prime in black, then drybrush grey, and then a light drybrush of white. You go over with your speed/contrast paints and it will take care of your shadows, midtones, and highlights all at once. You can then go over and do additionally highlights with dry brushing. Hope that helps!
