Rather, their performance on the death star during the Falcon's escape was deliberate, as the Millennium Falcon was planted with a tracking device and if they didn't escape, the Death Star wouldn't be able to follow them to Yavin 4. The Storm Troopers are armored and trained to be the Empire's shcoktroops and resistance breakers. Logically, they MUST be superior to the conventional imperial army.

Whereas the Stormtroopers are the Empire's Elite Shock Troopers, The Storm Commandos are the Elite within the Elite. Or I suppose that's Death Troopers now. I think Delta Squad would fit right in with them. Did you know that the guy who voices Scorch is the same guy that voiced Carth?
