The project is on hold atm. School, life, family are more important and there are things I have to take care of. I’m 16 years old. I can’t work on this project 24/7. Not only do I have other responsibilities but it’s just not healthy. I’ve been staying up until 1 doing homework as it is.

@@nathanhills336 no worries, man. I always support inspired work. Which technic did you go for with Rey's black outfit? I've tried so many ways but none are to my satisfactory. Nice work on using Blade runner 2049 scenes. Those looked awesome in your trailer. 👍🏼

@@MoviesRemastered I’ve been using mainly rotoscoping for Rey’s outfit. It’s the kinda thing where I’m unsure about it. It either looks fantastic or horrible. You have to have serious intention to detail for it. But to keep it short and sweet, outline the clothes and then recolor. And yes, Blade Runner scenes have been working great, especially the one I’m using for Kuat. I’m still in the process of changing the background but it looks awesome so far

Thank you, I appreciate it! We’ve discussed this before but I use Hitfilm Express and LumaFusion. Also, it’s not illegal to do fan edits and you won’t face jail time or lawsuits if you post something like this. As long as you are not making money off of it, you are okay to do whatever you want. The work I do here as well as other fan editors falls under fair use. Obviously I’m not posting the full thing in KZbin because even with it being fair use and altered, it’s still the full film. I’ll be posting in on a non profit sight or downloading it onto Google drive. Something like that. I can’t give you the email I used to contact them, you have to find it on your own. Just go to Google and search “how to email Lucasfilm” or something to that effect. As for when it’s coming, we’ve talked about this in the past and I haven’t set an actual release date because the project isn’t finished. Once it is and it goes into its polishing phase, that’s when I’ll set a date. And yes, there’s something for it before 2021 ends. It’s 5 months away after all. I could still release the edit by Christmas and that is if I’m lucky.

Thank you! If I’m being honest, I wasn’t quite sure of this edit myself. I even gave up at one point. It took me watching some of movies remastered videos and then working on some edits of my own to get back into it. I hope that commitment on your end stays consistent, I’m really excited to share it with you all!

@@nathanhills336 Oh, nothing special. I thought it was cancelled (due to the lack of updates in recent months) and because I thought that maybe there wasn't enough footage for this edit to work. Nonetheless, your edit looks very promising

I have found the lack of footage to be a problem in the past but I’ve been able to build up environments and such. And that was all through pictures and a lot of motion tracking. I hope Mustafar (which was the first planet I tested the method on) looks good

Holy crap, you’re right! I totally forgot about that. It’s simply rotoscoping and recoloring the outfit. Just outline the parts you want changed and then recolor using the color spectrums on your software

How do you plan on doing Kuat? I’m just curious. I always thought the Star Destroyer break in from later in TROS might work but then you wouldn’t be able to do the Chewie captured plot line later.

This is an adaptation on Duel of the Fates and will not directly follow the events of the ship. Poe, Finn, and Chewie will be uncover in a mission to retrieve a message from a “spy in the first order.” The scene opens on the camera panning from the sky to the multiple ships under deconstruction. It then cuts to the other side of the planet as the Falcon makes its way towards the main shipyard. It has an eerie atmosphere as they avoid small first order patrols and they eventually enter one of the dismantled Star destroyers which is revealed to be a base of operations for a worker rebellion. We then get the scene with Boolio which is color corrected and rotoscoped. The Falcon maneuvers it’s way through the Star destroyer while being chased by tie fighter and crashes through a thin wall only to be greeted by a gigantic Star destroyer in the sky, commanded by Hux. As for the rest, you’ll just have to wait and see!

@Prism Projects The Star Wars galaxy is incredibly vast so with that, it’s pretty safe to assume there are more than two deserts. It’s to remove the filters of the film. Plus it looks nice.

Tor Valum will not play a part in my edit and will be replaced by Palpatine himself. And I mean loosely replaced. Kylo will not train with and then kill Palpatine. In fact, I’m going with something a lot more interesting with Palpatine as a whole. But if you don’t want to be spoiled, I can’t tell you anything

Working on various stuff right now including the re-edit. I think the next video I’ll be posting is something completely different so I’m excited about that. The crew and I will most likely be working and promoting Rise of Unicron throughout the next two years. The film is coming in 2023 and filming begins this month. I sadly won’t be on set but writing for it has been fantastic. I’ve gotten to meet a lot of cool people. And the rewrite that I’ve been working on forever is still in the works, I’m planning on posting that in a month or two.

@Prism Projects Rotoscoping. The Duel is the same as the Death Star Duel with a few adjustments. For example, the choreography is different as some of the movements and shots are sped up or just removed. Most of the sound has been replaced since Mortis is a completely different environment than the Death Star. Another thing I did was cut the frame before the lightsabers clash. That basically removes one frame in the clip, making the saber strikes have more weight. That technique is used a lot in sword fights in films. Some of the shots are entirely new as well as the confrontation before the Duel is entirely different visually and dialogue wise. So yeah

I already found someone who stole my shot of Luke confronting Kylo, saying it was his work. The video was cropped to removed my logo, which sucks lol But my next video will be something different. I’ve been wanting to put a video out for my family for awhile. It’s a short film about our trip to Death Valley, we get up to a lot of shenanigans in that and it’s just a nice video

See if D-O was in the plans it would be a good opportunity to actually expand on the trauma that he had suffered by his old master in the original film, especially in a new scene where he talks about his past, using the actual remote control BB-8 and D-O figures with some VF effects and actual shooting on a similar grassy location. However I do remember you said he wouldn't be in there so I understand. Still it would be interesting to see.

@@disneyboy3030 D-0 doesn’t fit into the story because the Palpatine plot line (and the first orders for that matter) is completely changed. Plus, I’m not filming anything. The goal of this re-edit is to use the film, deleted scenes, other film clips that are beneficial, and the countless images and videos on the internet at my disposal.
