Gotta save the most iconic ship of the franchise. I bet a bunch of rebel fighters on a star destroyer would B like a bunch of angry hornets on a Tyrannosaurus.

They would be, sadly the AI uses too many tartan patrol cruisers and broadside cruisers to make fighters viable
