Dava pra ter aumentado a resolução do N64 já que estava com Expantion Pak, outro detalhe interessante é que a versão de N64 tem lens flare, enquanto a versão de PC perde todos os reflexos, inclusive do vidro no cockpit do Anakin, notado no começo da corrida em Tatooine olhando os 2 sóis, mas claramente a versão de PC e Dreamcast com maior resolução e sem o anti serrilhado tradicional do N64 tornam as melhores versões do jogo.

Funny how the N64 version has some reflection effects on Anakin's podracer, something that the PC and other versions lack... a good game for both systems nonetheless...

Quando joguei em 99, em uma tv de tubo no n64, me diverti muito com esse jogo, mesmo as versões de Dreamcast e PC sendo tecnicamente melhores, a minha favorita é a do N64

​@@tadeuferreira4059 o problema desse Star Wars Racer Arcade da Sega é o mesmo problema dos outros jogos de Arcade da Sega, que é a pouca quatidade de pistas, o que é justificável em um jogo de Arcade, mas não em um jogo pra casa, o que explica o jogo não ter sido lançado para o Dreamcast e nenhum outro console. Já o Star Wars Racer Revenge é praticamente uma continuação.

Nice video, I love this game. If you're interested, I have a N64 version that runs on real N64 hardware with improved draw distance that destroys PC and Dreamcast versions. Frame rate takes a huge hit on some tracks but it"s still ok on these two. And by the way, it's 16/9 !

I say "Your machine" is quite capable of handling the game. I've noticed on the other videos the Install menus are a mostly English with the some Portuguese. Is that common? 1. The frame rate on the N64 is quite well done. 2. Also I've said in the past the N64's sound quality is great. Especially voices. 3. I prefer the analog stick. It makes simple adjustments easier on the N64 version. More so then the umm...lets call the PC Visualization "The Control Panel". I don't tapping the directions seems stiff in comparison.

It depends on the game's CD... for example, Max Payne 1 for PC was released in Brazil fully dubbed and subtitled in Brazilian Portuguese, and that was quite common in PC games. Another game I can remember is Soul Reaver, Grim Fandango, etc. But in this comparison, I used a CD from the American version; otherwise, the installation menu would be in Portuguese along with the game's dialogue and subtitles. Le Mans 24 Hours (the game from the previous comparison) is also dubbed and subtitled in Portuguese (if you selected "Português" during installation), but in this case, it's European Portuguese, not Brazilian Portuguese. As for the framerate of the N64, although it is lower, it isn't bothersome and is indeed an acceptable framerate within the system's standard. However, if the Expansion Pak had been used, the framerate would worsen in exchange for a slight improvement in graphics (resolution). And honestly, I don't think that trade-off of performance for better graphics is worth it, which is why, even though the game supports the Expansion Pak, it's preferable in many cases to play without it on the N64.

@@tefrikeo La versión de GOG solo funciona en Windows 10 y 11... olvida la versión de GOG y trata de conseguir una versión de la época en que se lanzó el juego (1999). Si consigues un CD de esa época, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer funcionará sin problemas en tu PC con Windows XP.

@@vcdecide don't know about N64, but few times on your video you can see "Press A to boost". And on PC, i think it was W + Up + Shift. You need to wait a second until boost is charged

@@ShinigamiPL ​ The "A" button on the N64 is how I accelerated the "car" to race... I also found that information strange, but I noticed during gameplay that pressing up on the analog stick activated the boost (pay close attention to the video). As for the PC version, I don't think the Shift key is necessary... I think you just need to press Up + W (and you can see this in the video I was making for the PC version).

@@vcdecide You need to quickly hit A again when boots meter is full, after you have raised the meter via analog stick. Why you play in LOW -REZ anyway, the game is more impressive on HI-REZ.

I also noticed that metals and glasses look very good on n64. You can see it on anakin's pod racer glass, and metal parts on the shop or junkyard. Such metal effects are not present on pc, which uses good quality textures instead. Maybe cartridge constraints caused such textures not fit on n64, so the used these effects, who knows?

@@unknownx3601 In this comparisson the N64 version is running in low-res mode, It looks slighty sharper in "hi-res mode" but the framerate suffers some hiccups here and there. Still, it looks surprisingly good for a 320x240 (in low-res mode) rendered game.

Esa es una pregunta complicada de responder... La PS1 tiene juegos con visuales increíbles que nunca se han visto en el NDS... Por otro lado, el DS tiene algunos juegos que superan al N64, como por ejemplo Mario 64, que es un juego que tendría problemas para funcionar en la PS1... Así que la mejor forma de responder a esta pregunta es: DEPENDE Si estás en un baño, el NDS será más potente que la PS1, porque en esa situación solo podrás jugar al NDS y no al PlayStation Sin embargo, me parece asqueroso que alguien lleve un portátil para usarlo mientras está en el baño.
