I think what the prequels and originals had that the sequels never had was real emotional weight, father vs son, padawan vs master, friend vs friend, all the fights were deeply personal and are between people who shouldnt be fighting, the sequels just dont have the impact that the others do, the most emotion we got out of them was solos death, a real shocking and unexpected death, luke and leia just kinda lay down and go welp, time to die i guess, the story is all over the place and badly planned, they set up so many things and forget about them, they didnt spend enough time building on the characters they had, and just started craming the films with unessasary characters who serve no purpose, disney really didnt know what to do with star wars
