Here you realize a sad fact. When in episode V Luke said to R2 "stay with the ship", R2-D2 ignored him. Because in episode III... his master Anakin also said him "stay with the ship", and obeyed him, but his master... never came back.

Its not that anakins behavior with padme is unusual its actually absolutely forbidden. He is not supposed to have any connections with anyone. He is supposed to be solemn and independent free from any attachments,.

Qui Gonn Jinn spirit taught Obi Wan to become a force ghost (at the end of the movie Yoda said to Obi that someone returned from the netherworld of the force). In all those years in solitude in Tatooine Obi Wan learnt it. That´s why he told Vader in episode IV: "if you strike me down, I´ll become more powerful that you can possibly imagine".

Revenge Of The Sith is my absolute favorite out of the prequels. The double climactic lightsaber duel that takes place toward the end of the movie, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader VS Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar and Yoda VS Emperor Palpatine on Coruscant in the Senate chamber are top-notch across the board. Musical score, fight choreography, visual effects, audio effects and emotional impact. I give them all an A+.

What's crazy is that even though Obi-Wan Kenobi was disappointed with Anakin saying he was supposed to bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness, Anakin as Darth Vader does still eventually by choosing to throw the Emperor to his death to save Luke. So technically, he is still the chosen one.

I see you vibing on this movie, it's nice to see. Have you noticed when Palpatine comes to get Anakin on Mustafar. The first shot is the shadow of the shuttle looking like a bird of prey stalking its prey ! This episode is growing on me everytime I watch it. It's nearly a Greek tragedy. I think you'll love Rogue One, it bridges the gap between the two trilogies.

My favorite was episode 3 (darkest of all) and it closes the circle--it ends with Luke's uncle & aunt (in their younger years, at the little hut where Luke grew up with the twin suns). And we get to see how Vader git his suit & the Emperor his ugly face.

Fun fact, George Lucas actually casted Peter Mayhew to play Chewbacca on this movie, he played Chewbacca in the original trilogy. Also, the score in this movie was top notch. The battle of the Heroes and Duel of Fates are within the most epic pieces in cinema.

Emma, I love the fact that even way back in the first movie you recognized the real magic of this franchise: The music of John Williams. Almost everything he has touched has been golden. So some of the lore here: 1) Anakin wasn't upset about being "insulted" when he wasn't granted the rank of Master. He was upset because he wanted access to the archives so he could find a way to save Padme, and only Masters have access to that information. And yes, there are powers to use the Force to heal. 2) Darth Plagueis the Wise was the Chancellor/Emperor's Sith Master. It was through his experiments with the midichlorians that caused the Force to create life - in that instance, the birth of Anakin. 3) The fact that Leia had the memory of her mother being beautiful but sad (Return of the Jedi) when her mother passed moments after her birth shows the power of the Force that she had. 4) Palpatine was the one who manipulated Anakin's dreams about Padme's death because he knew the right bait to lure him to the dark side. 4a) The lie Palpatine told at the end about Anakin being the one who had killed Padme made Vader despise him, almost as much as Vader despised himself. Vader was so powerful with the dark side because he only felt hatred for Palpatine and himself, and the pain of his injuries was constant. 4b) The suit was designed to keep Vader in constant pain as well as being vulnerable to lightning because the Emperor needed a way to punish his apprentice and keep him from overthrowing him.

I now will watch in an order o1,2 clone wars cartoon , clone wars movie then series ,3 Rebels, Rouge 1 then 4,5,6 that is all I consider my cannon. Other may want to watch all the newer stuff but not my taste but if it works for them what ever.

He was always in bad shape. I believe it is canon, but there is a story that Grievous was a powerful warlord who caught the eye of Palpatine. Palpatine arranged an accident to crash Grievous’ ship and rescue the body. He then had his med droids do experiments with cybernetics as a test for eventual use with Anakin/Vader. To keep them alive but always in pain and more controllable.

This story of Grievous being in an accident before becoming a cyborg was never in the canon of Lucas or the current Disney universe. George Lucas said Grievous had always wanted to be a Jedi but he realized later in his life that would've never been possible for him, so he modified and enhanced himself to the point of being able to compare to them. The cough is the result of the cybernetic and biological parts never fully blending well.

The overall arc of 1-6, is mostly, the beginning, the rise and fall, and the redemption of Anikin Skywalker. Some say, the 'tragity' of Anikin Skywalker. Anakin, had the potential to be the most powerful, and wise person in the Galaxy. But Palps manipulated, and twisted him, because he knew, if he did not, Anikin would destroy him.

Anakin started as a slave in Part 1, and his mother remained a slave until she was freed by the moisture farmer who owned her. He hated slavery, so freedom was something he was sentimentally attached to. This value is the one which gets confused with democracy, since freedom is what the Republic was supposed to offer, and didn't. Ironically, Anakin can't see that despite him being freed by Qui-gon and Obiwan, he's been enslaved to the Emperor and calls the Empire his own, anyway.

Thing is, Anakin is completely wrong about so many things. Jedi Knights CAN be on The council without being Masters. KiAdiMundi (the conehead) was one in Ep1. They also CAN receive exceptions to create families. KiAdiMundi has SEVERAL wives and children ( As a special exception for his Species which is endangered ). He won't know the answer if he never asked. Chewbacca is +200 years old. 😎 Han Solo is Basically his fifth dog. Watch "Solo"for details.

I really enjoyed your reaction to this, Emma, it's the best episode of the prequels in my opinion, it's sad to see Anakin's fall, but it's because he allowed his emotions to control him due to his attachment to his Mother and Padme, this is why The Jedi are normally trained from very young to negate this and are not allowed to make romantic attachments.

After be burned, Vader suffered a lung damage so serious. That´s why he needed the suit (with a ventilation equipment) to breath and live. Besides, on purpose, this equpment "worked" with rage, anger and all his suffering. That´s why I told you in Episode VI that after kill the Emperor, with this ventilation destroyed and without rage and anger... he couldn´t live.

You should watch "The Clone Wars" (Great CG cartoon) series that takes place between Episode 2 and Episode 3. Rebels (CG cartoon) series takes place after Episode 3. Obi-wan Kenobi (Live action) series takes place between Episode 3 and Episode 4. The Mandalorian (Live Action) take place after Episode 6. Book of Boba Fett (Live Action) takes place after Episode 6. Asoka (Live Action) takes place after Episode 9. Watch them in that order because of the cameos that appear in later series and the ability to understand what's going on Lore wise. Do this and your Training in Star Wars Lore will be complete. You can watch Episode 7, 8, and 9. before hand.

The Misunderstanding in the prophecy was that the chosen one bring BALANCE to the force. Balance is neither the dark side or the light side of the force. Palpatine is a master at manipulation. He takes it to a whole other level. He is also patient, these are plans that would have taken decades to finally bear fruition. He probably told Anakin that he killed Padme, knowing he would hate and never forgive himself for doing that. If you look at the prophecy another way, Anakin did bring balance to the Force. You have 1000s of Jedi at this time period and 2 Sith, thus the Force is unbalanced with some many light siders. At the end of this movie there are two Sith, him and Palpatine and two Jedis, Yoda and Obi-Wan.

It has always been my belief that Ian McDiarmid should have been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance as Chancellor Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious in this film. His performance is so nuanced, subtle, and enthralling. Case in point...The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise...is not a legend. Darth Plagueis was Palpatine's master, and he killed Plagueis. This is established in the novel Darth Plagueis by James Luceno. There are a massive number of novels and comic books set in the Star Wars Universe, some of which are canon after Disney purchased LucasFilm, and some that were before the purchase but no longer are (the Legends novels and comics). Anyway, Palpatine did the dead, killing his master, following the Rule of Two the Sith follow. As Palpatine tells Anakin the story...you see the pride and the arrogance of what he did on his face. It's a beautiful and horrifying moment that McDiarmid plays wonderfully. Episodes I through III are the Fall of Anakin Skywalker and Episodes IV through VI are the Redemption of Darth Vader. The creature you like that Obi-wan was riding is called a Varactyl. I play the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, and you can get different versions of this creature as mounts for your characters in the game...I have all of the other versions. And one of the more popular versions looks precisely like the one in this movie. According to George Lucas, Mace Windu survived his battle with Palpatine and Anakin...but that's all we know. How? No one knows. One of my favorite actors in the Prequels is Jimmy Smits, Senator Bail Organa, the adoptive father of Princess Leia Organa (Skywalker). He plays Bail so well...and around the same time he played Bail, he took on another role I loved on television, Congressman Matthew Santos (Democrat) of Texas on The West Wing during its last two seasons. During his story arc on the show, he runs for and is elected President of the United States, succeeding President Josiah "Jed" Bartlet (played by Martin Sheen). The series finale episode is Bartlet leaving office and Santos taking the reins of the Presidency. Smits plays politicians you believe in very well! He returned to play Bail Organa in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus, as well as several video games. - 51:14 - In the novel version of Revenge of the Sith, the mask lowering on to Anakin's face is terrifying to him. Because of the pain, and the damage to his lungs and voice, he is still Anakin as the mask lowers, and he tries to scream, "Padme, help me!" KZbinr Star Wars Theory proved that as the mask lowers on Hayden Christiansen's face, you can hear him say, "Padme, Help me!" It is faint, and SWT had to alter the levels of the music and other tracks in the scene, but its there and it is creepy!!! And horribly sad as well. For the rest of his life, Vader was in agonizing pain in the armor, and the Emperor made his life miserable. While Vader had a strong tie to the Force, his power was lessened by the machinery keeping him alive. A popular theory, not fully explained or confirmed, is that Padme didn't die because of Anakin on Mustafar, but in order to maintain power over Vader, Palpatine killed Padme by somehow siphoning her life force away. - 52:25 - The lessons that Yoda gave to Obi-Wan are the reason their bodies disappeared when they died and became one with the Force. They basically learned how to become one with the Force, yet continue as Force Ghosts.

The Tusken are savages. People will ask for death penalty for these type of people in real life. That's what Padme experienced. Almost anyone would have the same feelings for people if they touched their mother. Anakin simply had a lightsaber and power, and he was right there with them. He wasn't right, but Padme understood where those feelings came from.

Actually is way more gradual, back in Attack of the Clones, Anakin ideology was way different than Padme, meanwhile Padme believe in democracy, Anakin believe in Plato idea of the "Philosopher King", basically a strong man that is old and wise, that crushed any opposition or dissidence, a dictator, was a very popular idea back in ancient Greece and Rome, but one politician ended being killed by the same people that he conquer when he was exile and conquer the city with an Army, and Sulla come to regret it later because he basically open the Pandora box, if someone like him could conquer Rome with an army, anyone could.

For me star wars is 1-6. I was a 5 year old in the cinema watching star wars back in 1977. Alot didn't like the Prequels but the sequels showed the Prequels were almost masterpieces. I liked them as it fit the story together. Yet it did raise a few questions and holes. Out of them all for me Empire Strikes Back was the best. You could feel the odds stacked against them. Captured no social media to leak anything you didn't know if any would die. Then having to wait years to find out. New figures coming into shops of new charectors and ships etc was a huge part of my excitement as a boy. Plus wookies can live long. Id say if your going to watch Disney trash. I'd watch the better ones first that actually honor the films you watched. Rogue one and solo for han and chewies back story.

The jedis interpretation of the prophecy is what led to their ultimate demise. THE CHOSEN ONE WILL BRING BALANCE TO THE FORCE. To balance something it obviously must be uneven in this case its the the balance between good and evil and the light and the dark side. At the very start of this trilogy the jedi were under the belief the sith were gone they were extinct. So with that belief and the understanding that the jedi numbered in the 100s and 100s in order for this prophecy to come true it would require the complete annihilation of the jedi order.

Revenge of the Sith is really a sad Love story that changed there galaxy. Anakin was manipulated and treated badly by Palpatine and the Jedi. Anakin won many battles for the Jedi. The Jedi gave him bad advice and never had faith in him and the entire time Palpatine manipulating Anakin.

I really recommend Star Wars Rogue One and it's companion TV show Andor. Rogue one takes place between this movie and episode IV, basically filling one last gap in the story. And Andor is like unironically one of the best TV shows of recent times. It's like peak Star Wars, and all about the early days of the Rebels we see in the Original Trilogy. It has seen a lot of critical and audience praise, and it has a second/last season coming out early next year, thus completing the Andor + Rogue one Saga. Highly recommend.

Yeah, this is the best Star Wars film out of all. But Star wars Rogue one Give it a chance, it's in the top 3 of all best Star Wars films. Me I was born in early seventies I love all the Star Wars films. But revenge of the sith is the best 1. 4 sure... But the best star wars stuff is definitely in the animated series
