At the end where Anakin's ghost comes back, you can see there are a few reactors who watched in Chronological order. Because they're balling their eyes out, that's why I think it's better to watch the Prequels first, it makes that final moment at the end SO satisfying

True, but if it's someone who knows nothing about star wars I would say watch the original trilogy first to get the big twist in ESB, because if you watch the prequels first you already know darth vader is Luke's father.

It's a much bigger twist to see Anakin actually turn to the dark side in Episode 3, and to see the people you thought were gonna be the heroes of the story losing so dramatically. Also, the Phantom Menace was designed to introduce everything, including what the Jedi are, what the Force is, just in general setting the stage.

@@adamstallwood2367I mean that twist is so well known in pop culture already. Almost everything that’s ever referenced Star Wars specifically references that scene. It’s gotten so bad people even misquote the scene. The only people who don’t know it are either heavily sheltered or too young to be spoiled by TV or movies. It’s a good twist, but it really is more interesting to see the hero fall and then return. Also you get to see Obi-Wan and Yoda characterized as manipulators in real time. People tend to gloss over that they did intend for Luke to kill Vader. They refrain from using the word, but they still say Vader is irredeemable. I find it more interesting to see the paragon characters being shown to not be all knowing because it demonstrates just how close they are to losing without Luke or Leia.

​@@gabethebabe3337 Yeah, the jedi in this time period were quite interesting, they weren't two dimensional characters. It's really quite amazing actually, our hero's mentor lies about Lukes father, then when the truth comes out, gaslights Luke, ("from a certain point of view"). Obi wan knew Luke wanted the literal answer, but lied on purpose to achieve his ends. It's the same sort of secretive thing the jedi order would do, no wonder Qui gon avoided being on the jedi council, he wanted to follow the force in its purest way.

They actually changed Anikin's Force ghost to his actor from the prequels. I don't mind this particular change, but seeing the young Anikin after he was over 20 years in that suit does feel a bit strange (especially if you already watched the former version).

"why doesnt he say 'and my daughter" because she wasnt as important as Luke to Vader. unlike what disney wants to be true- Leia wasn't relevant to that plotpoint. Just like Luke wasnt as big a deal to the Rebels like Leia, who was a Commanding officer. Her importance was elsewhere, Luke is the center here. That and the fact that Vader likely didnt know he had a daughter yet until he force read Luke later on😂

I wonder how many of them know that the original script was very different we weren't supposed to see Han again after the first one Luke was supposed to turn Yoda wasn't supposed to die because when Luke turns to the dark side Yoda senses it jumps into his ship to go get Leia Yoda then takes Leia into hiding with him Yoda and Obi-Wan train Leia so she can defeat Luke but for some reason George Lucas change that
