Does anyone other than just me, appreciate the moment at 5:11, when Vader adjusts his grip on his Saber... That little detail just blows me away everytime I see it. I think it really speaks to Vaders mindset: Excitement, Fear, Anger, and anticipation of this fight, that Obi-wan is no longer the broken man he was, and that excited Vader. For those who do not know or do not remember, one of the very first high quality Star Wars fan films from the 1990's ("Troops") was a clever parody of the TV show "Cops," and it provided a somewhat comedic take on exactly how the confrontation went down between the Lars couple and the Stormtroopers looking for the droids.

Re-watching these reaction videos just brought all that back, and I hope people stop just jumping on the bandwagon of denigrating this show because everyone else is doing it.

Agreed! Thank you! I mean don’t get me wrong the show it’s fair share of weaker moments and plot holes, but it also had so many awesome and cool moments too! That's why watching reactions to get people's opinions is better than reading comments on social media. A lot of the time, people commenting on social media haven't even watched the media they're commenting on. There have been many infamous example of this, and a lot of time they're making negative comments is because of race, gender, casting, recasting, and other petty stuff. At the end of the day, is the media compelling? Is it entertaining? Did you get enjoyment out of it no matter who is in it? So, that's why this form of "review" is far superior to random words on a screen where you don't know the motive of the people writing them.
@Lucifronz11 ай бұрын
@@LadyAstarionAncunin Getting opinions from other people can help shape your own on what you saw. Lets you gather your thoughts. But it's important not to let people ruin things you otherwise enjoyed. Obi-Wan, as a show, was flawed and in many ways didn't quite work as something meant to fit in between episode 3 and 4. That being said, overall it was enjoyable to watch, so I don't really care. A lot of the shows and movies in the Star Wars IP don't fit as well as they could. It's not like the prequels really helped that much in that regard and I still love those. And more on what you said, if you listened to Reddit, you'd swear the Mandalorian had its worst ever season, but I actually loved most of what was in Season 3. So, yeah, fuck what people are saying. Obi-wan is more powerful than he’s ever been because he’s letting go of the misconceptions the Jedi held about the force. Namely avoiding attachments. He cares for Luke and Leia and fighting for them makes him stronger than ever before. Vader on the other hand is conflicted. In his fight with both Ashoka and Obi-wan his resolve falters and he can’t fight at full strength because of that. Had Obi-wan or Ashoka not had that relationship with Anakin they’d be dead in the dirt regardless of any newfound sources of strength.

It bothers me that everyone that is complaining about how convenient it is that Obi-Wan arrives just in time on Tatooine, clearly don't know that sometimes movies and TV show are made to look like everything is happening at the same time but that's just for the audience. Realistically, it took Reva probably a while to get to Tattoine and the fight between Kenobi and Vader probably took place while Reva was still travelling to Tatooine. And then when Obi Wan senses that Luke is in danger, that could very well have been him sensing that Reva had just arrived on Tatooine. But thanks to the power of editing, it all seems to be happening at the same time.

I really love how they decided to explain why "Ben" Kenobi tells Luke Vader killed his father. It's not just a symbolism like you'd think (dark side consuming the man) but the actual words Vader himself said, so Kenobi has no reason to doubt him about it. I don't know however why he calls him Darth. He has to know that's just an title, not the actual name. Guess they added it to the script so it "justifies" him using the word again at the New Hope, though it doesn't explain anything.. This show was as big of an disappointment as the Book of Boba Fett, but both series' had some very impactful moments, which made it worth to watch them in the end.
