I haven't been playing long... a little under 2 weeks I think. The thing about the last tip is that I've been explained that while you might not encounter weaker teams by putting your weaker characters first... it allows you to keep your stronger characters fresh. So I rotate in some characters to take damage, do extra damage, or to do extra healing to refresh. That way my strongest characters stay fresh up to the very end when you hit the hardest battles.

Another helpful tip that I find with your last tip about Galactic War teams is to have a dumping teams. Example, If I see the enemy team is going to be very tough like all lv 70 with key players and I'm only lv 61. Then I will start that battle with my dumping team of players that are lv 10-30. Junk players that could maybe take more than one hit before they die. Reason for this is because I am able to waste the enemy teams special attacks. Then redo that battle with my strong team and have a much better chance at defeating them without losing anyone from my squad. Hope that was a helpful tip.

Focussing on a core team is great for arena, but it's terrible for GW, when you get to the higher levels you will hit a massive wall where you cannot complete GW at all for a long time until you can flesh out your squad. The reason for this is GW difficulty is, apparently, based on your highest fielded arena team, so when your top 5 get maxed, you'll be fielding a 24-26k team and will be facing much higher teams more often. The exact matchmaking is unknown, but this is what's been revealed unofficially on Reddit.

Thanks for the tips here. I need to look to see if you have anything more current. I've read that some of these premium characters eventually do make their way to be farmed by F2P people. I did get one Chromium pack for a single card. I read that the first draw was guaranteed to be a character, and I did get a 4*. So yay at the moment, but I can see that later on, this 4* will be worthless if I can't get it more star levels.

I love this game because you don't have to spend money to have a great squad. I've been getting really lucky though, I actually got Baba fett and a Teebo out of a Bronze pack and I used to save my crystal to buy the cheapest data pack but lately I've been saving them for the mega ones. It takes a long time but you're guaranteed a character and you get 7 other items. I currently have 3 7* characters, one 5* and five 4 star characters. I have a lot of other characters that I don't use them.

This is all really good advice, but one alternate suggestion--Early on you get a whole bunch of Crystals because it's easier to do those low-level Achievements and you're gaining 1 or 2 shards every time you clear a node on the Light Side/Dark Side boards for the first time. So I suggest hoarding your initial shards until you have 2150 and buying a Chromium Megapack, which guarantees at least one character, and gives a nice variety of shards, and does so at a lower Crystal price-point than if you bought them individually. Once you've bought one or two of those, using your Crystals to refresh Cantina and normal Energy is absolutely fantastic and should take priority. Just my two cents.

The part about having a B team to beat the galactic war is quite accurate btw.... I throw in the B team against more powerful teams to take down at least a healer, a fast character etc. Also helps to send a C team to exhaust special attacks since that's what the AI choose first.

I have started this game, and I really enjoy it. Right now i am trying to win enough battles to get enough shards to get new characters and/or build up m existing ones. The only games I have on my tablet right now, are this, Injustice Gods among Us and Plants vs. Zombies 2, because you aren't constantly prompted to make purchases. If it was up to me, "pay-to-play" games would have a price to download, as opposed to being free just so players would know what they're getting into.

To build on the spending crystals, I sometimes use crystals to refresh some of the Hard mode levels. That's how I was able to unlock Rey. I'd sometimes just refresh once for 50, but if I had enough crystals, I'd refresh again for 100 crystals. So instead of chromium packs, you could spend them on refreshing levels/battles in Hard mode that give shards for characters you are trying to unlock or farm to level up star rating. I also highly recommend Rey. She isn't same level as my core team, but she is already a beast and is pretty powerful. She actually does more damage than anyone in my core team. I'm going to add her to my core team once she gets up with there with the rest.

quick tip; if you have enough shards to activate a character, but know your not really gonna use him, don't activate yet. so if you pull that character from a card pack, you'll have bonus shards for that character instead of getting 7-12 shards for them when you pull them..

My issue, as F2P ONLY, is wanting to collect too many characters. I'm to the point where I've been grinding to level characters forever, but i have tons of characters moderately levelled and moderately geared. Its better to have fewer characters maxed out - and the RIGHT characters, too.

Great tips! Great video! Regarding Cantina shards, I recommend going after Old Daka. Old Daka is a dark side healer and can revive herself or allies (with her heal). I'm fine with her at four stars (for now). She's not on my "A" Galactic War team but sub her in if another healer is needed, but she's key for advancing far with Dark Side battles. Her heal has a chance to revive fallen characters, which has saved my butt many times.

Another valuable tip: Don't spend energy on "Profit Mining or Droid Training Hunt" You can potentially get more XP for your toons on droid training, but it is much more important to spend regular energy collecting gear for your team.

Great tips mate. Thanks a lot. Tomorrow I'll hit 40 and start GW too. And currently don't have many characters, most of them are still getting farmed at maximum possible efficiency that F2P allows. (I'm at Arena ranks around 40-60, it changes day to day, so can get 1x Cantina, and time to time 1x Energy refresh on top of it too currently) And not sure what to go generally. I got: 3* Chewbacca // 3* Luke // 3* Talia // 3* Jedi Consular // 3* Savage Opress // 2* Royal Guard [All Gear level 4-5, maximum that my level allows currently] (Ewok - Clone Sergeant - Snowtrooper - Geonosian Soldier but don't feel like they would do much except maybe Geonosian) Farming for Count Dooku - Qui Gon - Luminara - Rey - Sidious currently. (Made some maths and will hopefully get them all in 1-2 weeks. Thought some are useful for GW and some for the Arena) Also once GW is up want to farm Captain Phasma as well. Out of these characters what would your suggestion be about a GW team and an Arena team? Was thinking for GW: **Chewbacca (Switching him into Captain Phasma later maybe. But not sure, surely will need a Tank that can taunt since I am going with 2 healers only - Royal Guard would be cool too instead when I get more stars on him) **Jedi Consular **Talia (Later switch to Luminara asap when I get her) **Luke (Later on switching to Rey) **Savage Opress (Later on switch into Sidious maybe?) And totally no idea about what the future will need in Arena, till now it was a free pass at Arena Ranks 40-60ish, by maximizing gear only. But after this point I feel like, it is heavily dependent on Heroes I use. Hmm I just hit 40 now and finished whole GW with: Chewbacca - Jedi Cons. - Talia - Luke - Savage Opress without a sweat. Didn't even go below 80% health at any point. But from what I heard, at some point (around levels 50-55) you start to get +10 level enemies, which seems like a huge problem though :/ Also yayy for 15 Luminara Shards, as soon as store refreshes 2 more times. In 1,5 hours 15 more shards with the restart xD

Hey looks like youre off to a great start, and ranking really well in arena. To hang onto your high rank i would definitely keep farming Royal guard, Qui Gon, Dooku, once your done with Qui Gon you might want to start on Old Daka or 5's, but that's up to you. For galactic war I think you have the right idea, you need at least 2 healers, Luminara being one of the best, a high damage dealer like ig-86 is easy to farm from squad cantina and GW shipments, and Phasma is great for turn meter manipulation. Geonosian Soldier is a killer who does insane amounts of damage, so deffinitely farm him upto 7*. Currently in the game at top levels of squad arena, the best leaders in the game are Dooku, Old Ben, Phasma. Best support characters are Luminara, Royal Guard, ST Han, and the best attackers are of course Rey, Ig-86, Geo Soldier and Qui Gon. While upgrading to Gear Level 6 they require 20 of some items, do we really need to farm all of those 1 by 1? Or do they actually drop (as a whole) or sold in stores? Priority one should be unlocking a scoundrel team for credit heist. you can get lando from cantina fights and use the cantina currency for boba and mob enforcer, use squad arena currency on stormtrooper han and you get chewy at start. bam you can now farm Big money and its a decent team for other things. and you can fund your other characters

Really helpful tips - I already have been thinking about constructing my teams and already I'm limited on my equipment I can put on because I'm not high enough level! Just got level 50 - but my main squad for Galactic War Consists: Lvl49 4* Phasma - G6 Lvl50 4* Sidious- G6 Lvl48 3* First Order Stormtrooper - G6 Lvl 50 4* Geonosian Warrior (Brutal powerhouse) - G6 Lvl47 4* Chewbacca - G5 (Looking to replace when I farm Qui-Gon or Luminara - sufficently). I just love my current list par Chewie, because it's fast - Hits really hard and I've hit like rank 886 with it still going up. Currently trying to farm shards for Phasma, Geonosian Warrior, Sidious and FA Stormtrooper + Qui-Gon.. Will start farming Luminara once I've reached 5* Phasma from Galactic War Crystals.. I really want Dooku soon'ish, but my problem is - Because I'm keen on getting my characters to the best equipent > I can't advance further down in Light&Dark Battles because generally my other characters (particularly light side!) aren't good enough to get through Stage 5 on 2* victories, let alone the ideal 3*. Hense I think I already know if I improved my Jedi Sentinel (starting healer guy), Get Qui-gon & Luminara farmed. Might have a fighting chance with Chewie & Jawa.

It took me a while to figure out that a unlocking a 10 shard character always has 1-star, a 25 shard always has 2 stars, a 50 shard unlocks as a 3-stars, and 80 shards unlocks as 4 stars. (now they have the list in the chromium data pack rewards). That means the extra time it takes to unlock an 80 shard character is rewarded with a 4 star character. (with the exception of an underpowered Darth Vader, who takes a lot of ablility tokens and gear upgrades to become average).

A tip for newbies: never spend crystals on sim cards. Since the updates from a while back, you will get all the sim cards you will ever need just by completing daily activities and purchasing energy.

Some really good tips here :) for galactic war there is a fodder strategy too. Basically when you see it's gunna be a tough battle send in a bunch of lvl 1 fodder so the enemy team uses up their specials and aoe. When you try again with your real team all of the enemies specials will be used up and be on cool down still.

Made that mistake too. The packs are not only expensive but a waste if you don't get what you are looking for. They are for the rich not us poor players. My crystals all go on extra energy now.

Excellent points, (I play F2P also) I made similar mistakes in my journey. I got really lucky and saved all my crystals for an 8 pack and got old ben, daka, and ackbar. I spent a month saving up for another 8 pack and got CRAP! in fact i didnt even get a character! It says guarnateed character but I unlocked the IG65 droid (which I already had) and got shards instead - HUGE waste of crystals! You should do your best to farm up 5x5* Jedi to unlock yoda. Once you do that Galactic war is a breeze. I went straight through against 3 lvl 70 purple teams near the end, with Luminara 7* lvl 67 Consular 5* lvl 67 Old Ben 4* lvl 67 Qui Gon 4* lvl 64 and Yoda 5* lvl 60! Although if I think about it, if you don't have Old Ben this team might not do so well, as he totally nerfs your oponents for 2 turns. I used 5* Ahsoka, Mace Windu and Jedi Guardian to open up yoda The same team keeps me in the top 200 in the arena for those precious extras crystals.

So not only should you use your crystals on Cantina energy but you should also use the crystals to farm for gear components by clicking on your characters and click on an empty gear slot, select an item and click find. Then click on the battle that costs the least amount of energy for the component and farm it until you get all of the components you need. Continue to do this and it will make your characters much stronger. Getting better gear for your characters does more for them then just getting shards.

Your 5th tip may not be accurate in how the game calculates the increased difficulty as you get near the 12th node, but your strategy is sound. I have six squads I've designated for Galactic War. (Each squad member is at level 85, with seven stars, and high-level gear.) Even now, I still only am able to finish Galactic War about once a month. I have no idea what metric they are using to calculate the enemy squad for the 12th node (or the 6th node, for that matter), but it is brutal. But, I still agree with your assertion to use the weaker team to start GW. I use Boba Fett (leader), Geonosian Soldier, Jawa Engineer, Jawa Scavenger, and Chief Nebit. I can usually get into the 6th node with them. Then I use my Sith squad to finish the 6th node, my Imperial Trooper squad until they die, Rebel squad, Jedi squad, Sith squad, and an odd squad of various toons that work well together.

Right, I haven't spend a cent on this game and I think I have a decent game. I've got a 6* Luminara and a 6* Sidious fully geared up(At least what the geme allows by now. I'm level 70 and my favourite team is 5*Qui-Gon Jinn as leader, Luminara and and 5*Jedi consular as healers, 5*Dooku and Sidious as side attackers, the whole team is very fast, unless you face another Dooku or Qui-Gon as leader, you can even kill two characters during the first turn.

In Galaxy war mode I've also found that retreating and coming back in is useful. Sometimes on stronger teams I've sacrificed lower level characters in order to allow my A-team a easier time when fighting a stronger team. Or that hitting one character is more important than hitting another... Is there a order to who to hit first?

for free to play gamers you can farm for these following toons and they make an amazing team, HK-47 can be farmed through arena shipments, he should be your leader, and IG-88 is also in arena ships, then farm shards for IG-86 in galactic wars shipments if you get all three of them to 7 star and at least gear rank 7 you will beat most things no problem i would suggest getting poe from cantina shipments as your tank because the IG bots are really squishy and then as a final toon you could get poggle the lesser for his synergy with droids he is farmable in galactic wars ships.

F2P on my main with 7* Lumi, 7* Eeth koth, 6* yoda, 6* QGJ, 6* Luke skywalker 6* Old Ben Kenobi, 6* consular, 4* vader, 5* opress, 5* IG-86, 5* Sidious, 5* Ashoka tano, 3* Dengar (very long to get him up) Think i've done well over the last few months, main team is the top jedi ones all lvl 65-70, and dark side are secondary team which i use first in GW all level 60-65. I do like the game a lot but it is really addictive! I only play 1-2 hours a day when the activities reset at midnight which kind of messes with my Sleep rythym a bit but i just can't wait til the morning ! Im seeing alot of guides where people are epic geared. I have a few chars now stuck on gearing up for the next level. I need a shitload of the epic (purple) MK IV items to craft. I spend my days running all my energy through the 5-F lightside normal (costs 8 energy each time) but its crazy slow considering how many i need. Right now im at lightside 6-A and Darkside 5-B but seem to be struggling to get any further. Any help please would be greatly appreciated...

hello mace nice video and keep up the good work. i have some tip for you. try to find out how much crystals you make per day, but only used your cantina energy when it max and used 100 crystals if you can do that you can get 5 shard a day too help you character to get star up. the next tip try to used about 100 crystals to farm mat for your gear that is more important and try to gear you core group, it will help you in Galactic War and pvp. next tip try to get the best rank in pvp it will help you with more crystals. don't buy pack and hope for a shard or character it is a waste of crystals, you better off using crystals on gear character or cantina energy. if you looking for a good group for free to play, make a droid team like (HK-47, IG-88, IG-86,Poggle the Lesser)both easy for farm gear and shards and any healer like ( Luminara Unduli or Old Daka) both easy to farm and gear up. if you have any questions and need help, just message me i know alot about the game

there is 2 team you can think of going for but if you can get poe and poggle and Geonosian Soldier and IG-88 and Luminara Unduli or Old Daka that is a good team too for free to play but i like droid team but right now my HK-47 is a 4 star so he is gear but he not ready to be in my droid team. right now i have ig-88 and ig-86 and poggle and jedi consular and as my leader luminara. last night in pvp i take out a team that is 26k power but just to let you know the droid team are glass cannon team. there is alot of way to stop a glass cannon droid team and Count Dooku can just stun or poe can taunt or jedi team with qui-gon jinn as leader but too stop the jedi team you need to kill qui and yoda frist because qui and yoda can steal poggle offense up.

Really good tips, yeah a droid team is defenceless without poe, and I don't think they would do well in galactic war only pvp

i have been doing good in galactic war without poe. with galactic war you have to do alot of think and strategy and try not too blow all healing cooldown but there is away to clear galactic war but don't forget meta always changing. o ya in galactic war if there a team you can not down throw some lv 50 + characters so the team you try to down used all there cooldown and bring your core team to finish the team off

Farming JC in cantina battles is a horrible choice though. He is available in 3 hard battles and he is a pretty meh character. Go for geo soldier or count dooku instead.

I know I'm extremely late, but I have a question, do you think it's useful to invest crystals into shipments? Because sometimes theres's a character I want to level up and it costs 150 crystals to buy 5 character fragments, do you think that's worth it?

Yes that's fine. Been playing the game since it was released lol. But if you see a good deal on a good character that you need the shards for take it. It helps a lot as some character shard shipments are rare and only come around once or twice a month. I just leveled up my Clone Commander Cody to 4* via shipments as that's the only way to farm him. If you wmt a new character every now and than save your shards and get the 8 pack of data cards. I do that often. It helps farming and character collecting. If you get 8 packs with 1 guarantee of a new hero or shards for a already owned hero that helps greatly. And with 7 other cards which could be either granting you huge amounts of shards or other new characters its a worthy investment and if you are patient enough its free too

Well u first kinda wrong to. Some of the heroes in u core team I would never omega or use raid Gear on otherwise good newbie tips. Also I can add oe very important tip try lvl the Sqoundrel/Rebel heroes as they are the most important heroes for most events and at least Get Teebo to max tm reduction and put potency mods on him for Raids. Dart Väder rank 1 in Fleet arena. Väder out !

if u have a disent pvp team u can buy normal energy an cantina energy as a f2p player an u will get a fuw extra eatch day i think its around 5 crystals or somthing like that if u get rank 500 or lower

I thought this was true, but it turns out it's not. When you promote your characters, you'll notice they increase in strength, intelligence, and agility. This is to account for the increase in stats that one would get should they be a higher star rating.

+jimvo Gearing up a character certainly does boost health and damage, but this will only take you so far, I believe gearing up a character should be your first priority, then leveling them up will also improve other stats as well, so both are very important.

n tip for beginners do not use the tier 5 training druids to lvl ur characters up 1 lvl at a time like I did

I lose most of my games to whales with characters that are only bought from Chromium packs. I do complete Galactic War most times, but the times that I lose are when I hit a whale team and it keeps me from going to the end. Whales are making this game unbearable at higher levels.

Well your first priority is fully levelling up your core team, be sure to have 2 healers and 3 attackers, it's slow work but I believe it's essential

In order to keep your Galactic War manageable, you can keep your Arena Squad at a certain level and instead focus on getting other characters up to the same level or higher for use in your Galactic war.For example, I'm currently level 77, but I've kept nearly all of my Arena team at 74 (only Qui-Gon Jin is 76 for his basic attack upgraded to max). This has kept my Galactic War relatively easy, and I've been able to level up my characters that I only use for Galactic War and in Raids.
