I am impressed how well they presented the sounds of each crystal ignition. It actualy gives more justice than the movies itself where we had multiple times of swapping sound effects fro them where blue sounded like red and vice versa.

@@alexhetherington8028 Only because the movies changed them at their leisure. When Anakin went to slaughter the younglings his lightsaber ignition although blue sounded like red. Count Dooku's first ignition sounded like low pitched green one. Sidious' ignition to fight Yoda sounded like blue. And Qui-Gon's green lightsaber sounded pretty much all the time like blue one. But they had the specific sound attached to them simply by using it the most than other mixed sounds.

There are pieces on eBay..people have bought a bunch of parts..you send em a list of what parts and where and color and they make it and send it for around the same price...go to eBay and just search edge of galaxy lightsaber for sale

Red kyber crystals are a normal crystal bled with the dark side, and white crystals are bled cyber crystals that have been healed by the light side of the force :D

Chill Face white crystals would still exist as they were apart of the original extended cannon. But their origin and meaning was never revealed if I remember correctly. Most just went with the idea that black and white are just ancient crystals first used with no major meaning in terms of the persons personality but just their force use.

Well. There's a way to make blacklights with ordinary white lights. It just takes some tape, blue markers and purple markers. I don't remember all the steps though.

I am so glad that white is an option, with the old style of build your own lightsaber, there were kits with white blades. I used those to make my own lightsabers of 5 different colors.

First off yes there is clearly a black crystal which is hidden in the Red Tubes you buy however if your only buying them for just the lightsaber then it's 100% pointless as it's just a repainted Red Crystal it will not turn black and it will not have a different sound ( if your collecting the characters for the holocron then that is the only time it matters )

I totally agree about the bag, and I heard that comment a lot once I got out of the workshop. But also the biggest complaint that I have is that there is absolutely nothing protecting the bottom of the lightsaber so as you’re carrying it around the park all day you got to be extra careful not to bust that bottom by just basically putting it down. I picked power and control :) I went during the passholder preview weekend. I really enjoyed the entire experience. I have no regrets either when friends flash me their Force FX sabers of Luke, Obiwan, Kylo, etc. because mine is completely custom. Most likely there will not be another one like it, and that's one of the reasons why I really savored the experience as well! Great video!

Polycarbonate. Same material all lightsabers even third party ones make their blades out of. It’s a sturdy plastic material which can withstand a lot of hitting before it shows any signs of cracking.

Great video. I made one on my visit, peace and justice. Green. I didn’t know that each color made a different sound. Very cool. Didn’t know about yellow or white crystals either. It will be fun to pick up other colors when made available again. Oddly enough we picked up a blue one before making the choice to build a lightsaber because our son picked up a cube. Now we can switch out the crystals. I didn’t know if the blade could be removed and you cleared that question for me. Thanks!

I built an Elemental Nature with a Blue Kyber Crystal June 6th two days before you went. I also went in June 7th and got the Black (Obsidian) Kyber Crystal from Dok Ondars with the other six colors. It’s like the Force wanted me to have the Black Kyber Crystal because it was the first Red Kyber Crystal canister I picked up. I’ve heard a rumor that now you can only purchase the Kyber Crystals which are now kept behind the counter with the purchase of a Jedi or Sith Holocron. And a Cast member will now hand you a Canister of the color or colors you want when purchasing a Holocron. You don’t get to choose anymore. And can’t cheat like so many were. Or buy them individually like we were able to during the reservation period. I wish I had gone the same day you went. It would have been really cool to have run into you on Batuu. May the force be with you ... always.

Great video. I got a similar one to you, with a purple crystal. How sensitive is it with regards to swinging sounds? Mine doesn’t seem to make a noise each time I swing it, and sometimes makes the noise when I just tilt it slightly. I’ve also heard people say they make a crack sound and flash when hit, but mine doesn’t seem to. At least, not at the pressure I’m trying it with.

I think I’d do this for the experience. The sabers themselves, though... They look like decent wall hangers unless you’re seven feet tall with dinner plates for hands.

Nope only the color of the crystal will determine the color of the Saber

The colors have a meaning the blue is for guardians who are the bolder and more saber centric and green is for counsulars who are calm level headed and more force focused so maybe that can help your choice

Thats really cool how it can register different color crystals and change the blade color. The technology has really improved since the Master Replicas sabers. How’s the swing sound effect etc. Are they pretty much on par when you swing them around without delay on the sound?
