Good rundown! I'm very pleased to see these infographics and interview clips getting some focus (I'm xezene over on r/StarWarsEU). In December, I will release the full NJO documentary on my YT channel, with many hours of interviews, and you are more than welcome to talk about any additional things in that you find interesting. Again, great work here! The series is a classic.

@@holonetwork what an awesome comment thanks for taking the time to watch as well! I just subbed to your channel I can’t wait to check it out! I’m just starting this series, I like doing the research to find these sources and preserve the original lore, canon and continuity. I am taking part in a stream Dec 7th to talk about the second half of Vector Prime, I’ll sent the link to that if you wanted to come hang out in the chat. The other panelists are far more knowledgeable than I am, hope to see you there! kzbin.infoetXAoc4ifds?si=o-Yrip3EU1Pul-j5

25:38 - "Can we have Star Wars movies without Chewie?" Yes, we surely can! Michael Stackpole is amazing, but he's wrong about that, I mean, this excuse sounds actually kinda lazy and and a little coward to me, because we can easilly have a Sequel trilogy tied in the EU, and I can imagine how so: 1. Maintain Chewie's death and show the audience a flashback scene with Sernpidal's sequence recreated on the screen, like what the Chewbacca (2001) comics once have did; 2. Replace Chewie, as the Wookie companion for Han Solo, with his son, Loompawaroo, and his nephew too, Lowbacca; 3. Place the trilogy a year after Crucible, in 46 ABY, and use Jaina Solo Fel and Ben Skwalker as the main protagonists; 4. Show the audience Luke as a Grandmaster and a mentor figure to everybody, and Leia as a new Jedi Master in formation on his Order; 5. Use and show the Ossus' Jedi Temple, looking like Legacy comics; 6. Create a new character to be the ear character to the audience and to be the new protagonist, maybe that supposed George's new protagonist for his Sequels, the girl Qira; 7. Use that Darth Talon with a pair of lightsabers, and states that she is Darth Talon's ancestor, some kind of "Darth Talon I"; 8. Her master, and initial villaing, could be a red skin male Zabrak with sith tattoos, using a double lightsaber, working for the One Sith, and leadership the Black Sun at the time, and being Darth Maul's clone, made using the Maul's DNA sample that the Empire/Kaminoans had on Force Unleashed II (what originated the MaulKiller clone); 9. Anakin Skywalker, Mara Jade Skywalker, Jacen Solo and Anakin Solo could appear as Force Ghosts for the protagonists; 10. They could bring a lot of EU characters, as special apparences, from the C-Canon and even from the S-Canon: A) C-Canon - Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors, Jaden Korr, Kam Solusar, Tionne Solusar, Corran Horn, Mirax Terrik, Tenel Ka Djo, Alana Solo, Garm Bel Iblis, Talon Karrde, Shada D'ukal, Master T'ra Saa, Master K'Kruhk, etc; B) S-Canon - Jaxxon, Amaiza Foxtrain, Kiro (as a Jedi), Plif the Hoojib, Dani, Rik Duel, Chihdo, Marruc, Bahb, Jahn, Rahuhl, etc. 11. Many EU species could appear on the background, such as: Chiss, Noghri, Zeltrons, Kiffar, Nagai, Barabels, Hoojibs, Wroonians, Neti, Yuuzhan Vong, etc.; 12. The Yuuzhan Vong war should be referenced everywhere during the movies, and the Vong itself could appear as allies and some as antaghonists, showing Zenoma Sekot in the process; 13. Instead of Luke being Quira's master like in that Lucas' manuscrips, he should only trained her as an youngling, like Yoda did in Attack of the Clones, and, as padawan, her master could be Leia, who've had an arc by being graduated as Jedi Master; 14. One sequence with every major past villains being mentioned and even being quick showed at screen, such as, for examples: Grand Admiral Thrawn, Reborn Emperor, Exar Kun spirit, Supreme Overlord Shimrra Jamaane, the Killik Queen, Darth Lumiya, Darth Caedus and Abeloth; 15. OG trilogy characters showed at screen together: Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, Han Solo, Lando Carlissian and Chewbacca (on flashbacks); 16. The Midchlorians and the micro world of the Force deffinally could be explore, bringing all the 6 movies and novels together at once; 17. And last, but not least, lots of Prequel and OG trilogies' references, since characters, to worlds, events, species, technology, etc.
@darthlucasfuu2 ай бұрын
And some extras: 18. Chewbacca family showed on screen (Mallatobuck, Attichitcuk and Lumpawaroo as I said early) and Kashyyyk with the big Chewie's face carved on that colossal tree; 19. Confirm some theories, such as Jaina as the creator of the Imperial Knights; 20. Show the creation of the Fel Empire as a whole; 21. Give Jaina and Jagged Fel children, and develop Ben and Vestara's relationship (and maybe give them children at the end of the trilogy; 22. Leia could be Jedi Master and chief of state at the same time; 23. Maintain the galatic government as the Galatic Alliance, and show some new vehicles (prelude to the ones seemed in the Legacy comics); 24. Please, give Luke Skywalker his shoto lightsaber haha.

@@Star-Wars-Skran You welcome, bro! Your videos are really good, you've made some great points and showed a lot of evidence of how much George Lucas cared about the Expanded Universe! And yes, it'll require them some deep researches or a bunch of guide books too, but I'm sure they're very capable to do so, they just don't wanted, for some reason, unfortunately... They had the chance to make a perfect sequel trilogy who would unity all the fandom, but instead they discarted everything and made the opposite, splitting the fandom even more than before... May the Force be with you!
@Star-Wars-Skran2 ай бұрын
@ they had everything they needed, there’s a reason they paid so much for it, but like you said, they didn’t want to utilise it. DAVE wolverton who wrote courtship of Princess Leia made the point that Hollywood likes to take established things and make them their own. So it’s really no surprise that they ignored the established lore to try and appeal to the general public when they should have focused on the fans.

@@Star-Wars-Skran Now that I've started to reading the Agents of Chaos' duology, that second point I've made on the list, about Lump and Lowie being Han's partners, makes even more sense to me and I should thanks to James Luceno for that! haha (I had that idea before knowing that the EU already had work on that, even if just a little haha)

@@StarWarsMarvelPurist that’s the point I like to make, George spent time and taught many creatives who were working for him. Filoni wasn’t special in that regard, he’s the only one that didn’t want to contribute to the established lore.
