An audiobook telling a story of three different stages in the Imperial Historian’s life surrounding an artefact called the Ca’illiad. Eager to explore the galaxy, Arthur Prowse and a team of archaeologists are set with the task with discovering the hidden histories of the Neramunians. However, galactic events set in motion a different path for the optimistic archaeologist, a position where he must make unpleasant and difficult choices, bringing him closer to the true evil he represents.

Very glad I seen the notification for this video, been far far too long since I watched a Imperial Historian video, the last time I remembered watching consistently was quite possibly the Legends of the Galaxy series, and that was a long time ago now. But as ever absolutely exceptional quality content, truly terrific writing and excellent narrating.

Thank you, I am very happy you enjoyed this video. The Ca'illiad has been one of my favourite projects I have enjoyed creating for a long time. LotGs1 was great fun to make back in the day, despite its problems, it oddly nostalgic to look back on to how my writing style and certain narrative and creative choices have changed since. Thank you for the kind words, it really motivates me to continue writing new stories and videos.

Age is an odd thing is Star Wars, as it is unclear of the life span of a human and their capabilities during stages of their lives, also their background and experiences can be so different from others in the galaxy and that can be difficult to compare one person to another, so please do take these numbers lightly. Here are the rough ages for how old Arthur Prowse is. (Also, these ages are not final) Just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, in chapter one, Arthur is about 29/30. Young enough to still be excited and full of wonder of the galaxy, but old enough to be respected and established in his field of work. During the years of the Clone Wars, his experience of the war starts to turn him bitter and pragmatic, that impacts his destination in chapter two. As by the end of the Clone Wars at the age of 33/34 he makes the decision to accept the offer from the imperial minister to be Director of the Imperial Reclamation Service. This takes him deeper in his imperialist views and turn a blind eye of the implications of his actions. In chapter three, it is unclear how many years have past, but it is still in the early years of the Empire. Prowse is about to betray the one shred of his humanity and kindness he had in the memory of the Ca’illiad he kept as a promise to give back to Nerrata. At this point Prowse is about to go full in on his imperialistic views and identity, as he has only benefited from the Galactic Empire, gaining high prestige in his field and the benefits of his title, despite the suffering and stealing of artefacts from other cultures. In the next audiobook, The Sword of Paridonia, set roughly five years into the age of Empire. Director Prowse is at this point of his character when he is fully established into the man and villain he is, setting the stage for future stories of the Imperial Historian to be told.
