Golden era of Black Dyke there. We are so lucky to have these videos. Who was on 2nd baritone?

Hi Mr Sp . Having watched the video a couple of times I think it might have been Brian Broadbent who used to play second Euphonium from 1953 to 1973 on second baritone , (filling in as a dep ) . I think the regular player was Colin Hardy at that time . Cloughy probably wanted one of his old mates to fill in . But it's only a guess ! All the best , Mark .

As a follow up to my last comment I will have ago at naming as many players as I can from what I think was 1979 . Cornets . David Hirst ( Soprano ) Phillip McCann ( Principal ) Ken McDonald , Malcolm Turton , David Carder , Neil Jowett , Fred Ellis , Christopher Bacon , Peter Moorcroft ? Jack Brooke . Flugel and horns, David Pogson , Kevin Wadsworth , David Essex , Stephen Brooke . Euphs and Baris , John Clough , Stuart Derrick , John Slinger , Brian Broadbent . Trombones Frank Berry ? , Dennis Essex , Ian Copland . Basses . George Morgan , Alan Holdsworth , Derick Jackson , David Rhodes . Percussion Richard Clough , Phillip Gee . Conducted by Michael Antrobus . All of this was from the top of my head and I'm sure I've have got one or two wrong , but it was only to pass a bit of time for my own amusement . Please feel free to correct on the players . Best wishes , Mark .

@@Mark64W Definitely Peter Moorcroft on 3rd, and looks to be Frank Berry on trom. Imagine how good it would have been to have played in that band during that magical time period (70's - 80's). The most fortunate brass band players in the history of the world....the experience, and the stories!!!
