Star Wars Legion Battle Report 70: Wookie Defenders vs Experimental Droids!

Sam returns to Crafty Terrain HQ and this time he brings with him a force of Wookie Defenders for their first outing on the channel! Facing him across the table is another first time showing for the almost world dominating Experimental Droids, being piloted by Lee.
Will Sam's rolling ball of furry fury be powerful enough to overcome Lee's inexperience when playing with the clankers, or will the sheer volume of dice thrown by the droids be enough to overcome yet another foe. Tune in now to find out!
With Kashyyyk becoming an attractive target for the Confederacy, as a result of its strategic position along a junction of four well-travelled hyperspace routes and its location on the doorstep of the Foundry of the Confederacy, the separatist high command task a small force of highly trained droids with scouting out its defences and finding a weak point through which a full scale attack could be launched.
Unfortunately for the droids, their arrival on the planet does not go unnoticed, and a counter strike force of battle hardened wookies led by Lieutenant Chewbacca looks to give them a very warm welcome to the planet...

Hi Jay, the speed 3 move gives ExD fantastic objective play. Helps on bombing run, breakthrough and recovery. Combined with the power gunline, it makes the list very difficult to beat.

Fun ones guys. FYI I don't believe you can make the shooty wookies your hostage squad because they don't count as corps for objective cards like the melee wookiees do.

Hi Jesper, I couldn't agree more, the versatile make the list so strong. Surges for extra attack dice if you find yourself in a gun fight, but then having the ability yo move speed 3 in the late game gives you so much felx.

I know the Snail gets shunned a lot in EXD, but it was used to really good effect here. I played a similar match recently and the Wookiees there had the same issue, by the time they were close enough to do anything, there weren’t enough of them to make much of an impact. Fun game to watch (as a droid player ;) )

Hi buddy, I think the snail is great in the list. It adds perfectly to your range 4 gunline and is a wonderful LOS blocker for objective play. This was a very tough match up for the Wookies, just to much fire power on the ExD side of the table. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍

Great match guys! ExD are a menace. Not only are they a really strong gun line. But they have solid defensive tech (shields), a good melee counter (swords), and really great objective play.

@@CraftyTerrain saxon, 3 mandos all with gunslingers, a pyke cappo equipped with a scanner that runs with 3 pykes with disruptor rifles. I keep the pykes in back to take pot shots at stuff and the mandos bully troops on objectives, usually move shoot cuz they have independent aim. I domt try to score till the very end. High risk high reward list
