Originally Designed in 2005 by Frank Diorio for the Star Wars Celebration III Diorama Builders Workshop booth - The convention's Mega Death Star project has been updated or DELUXIFIED :) in 2024 to make it more movie accurate than what the fans built at the show.
With this tutorial, you can now continue your Celebration adventure in your own home or if you didn't have the opportunity to attend the convention, you can now build just like the fans did at the convention in Indianapolis April 2005 but with improved movie accuracy.

The Trash Compactor is a MODULAR BUILD option for you to insert with my other DEATH STAR ROOM designs (like you do with Lego) and allow you to create your very own MEGA DEATH STAR DIORAMA - Be it the same Movie Accurate version as I built and you see in these tutorials or by selecting the Hallways and Rooms of your choice, There is no limit to size and layout but your imagination.

This is an amazing work in all respects. Really. I hate working with sticker paper but I may build the painted version. Thanks for sharing, Frank. P.S.= Those time-lapse clips are addictive. LOL.

Hey Sunset, thank you so much for the kind words. My smile of the day :) At the 2005 convention booth it was all done in paint except for the door, this year, I wanted to play with movie accurate decals and offer the builders like yourself the option of both. I can't wait when fans start sending me photos of how theirs turned out and what method they chose. You very welcome, I'm just sorry it took me 6 months to post from the past tutorial. I could remove all timelapses to shrink the time of the overall video but I like watching them as well :) Frank.

Hahahaha ok, i deserved that. Hell no, I have already started the prototypes for the next build. I am aiming for just before I leave for vacation march 3. So, end of feb if all goes well. Did you enjoy this one at least Jet ? Frank.

@@dioramaworkshop ya, but you forgot the trash chute they fell through, even though you don't see it from the trash compactor side, it's still there... plus, it'll hook up to the detention center diorama.
