It makes perfect sense that there would be a force feild on the docking bay. I like it that especially.

I don't think the sun is in the right place, based on the shadow on the death star 2, it should be at 2 o clock to the DS2 (12 being top, 6 bottom etc) but aside from that, looks great

You are extremely talented. But I can't help but think that the addition of all this glow, from the sun, the docking bays, and the forcefields, adds to a sense of visual clutter. The opening of Return of the Jedi is a masterpiece of visual simplicity. I'm all for tinkering with old shots, even classic ones, but this one is already so, so perfect. Also - there is so much emphasis on blownout, lens-flared sunsets in movies today. Even here, the sun is in front of and to the right of the star destroyer, but then is behind it in reverse angle. Would love to see you take present-day overproduced shots and make them look more like the classics of years ago!

It's totally fair to not like a different take on the movie. I agree some added effects are "too much" and not too polished, but it was the purpose of the edit, to make ROTJ look a little bit more modern.

I love the Hangar force field & reflections, a nice touch! Personally and I hope you you don't mind my saying, I wouldn't have the force field flicker as in all other media they don't often, it's usually a steady blue :P And perhaps make Endor greenish? But I look forward to seeing more of your content!

Nope. I'm sorry, but they are very bad quality, and there's nothing I could do in order to enhance image quality. The only deleted scenes I could (could!) add are the ones with the Rebels inside the Falcon during the final battle.

It makes much more sense, that Vader is already on the death star, when the film starts. Because the Emperors says, that Vader had done well. What has he done... in just one or two days?

There's a significant matte line around the shuttle in that opening clip, which is really emphasized as the shuttle moves lower in the frame and the silhouette overlaps the planet's atmosphere. This should probably be reworked.

The efficiency of cutting Vader's arrival and going directly to The Emperor's is a fine touch. That i liked. Endor replacement is good. Sun is a nice cosmetic add. niceForcefield is unnecessary and, frankly, distracting. Tattooine establishing shot is top grade add.

This is actually quite a clever edit. Nicely done though the pacing of their conversation seems a little rushed. Not much you can do about it though but overall, it's very well done.

Sorry to be pedantic but; 1/ As the Emperor's shuttle approaches the Death Star, no TIE fighter parade. Next second, switch to inside view looking out and suddenly hundreds of TIEs have appeared from nowhere! 2/ The shuttle clearly socks in a small subsidiary bay with limited space but next second we see the voluminous main docking bay with thousands of troops on parade to greet their arriving Emperor! 3/ The effects work is nicely done, the score change is not and this whole scene change is pointless and makes no sense! If it was to show off your work in editing, splicing, colour changing etc then bloody good job. As far as the rest is concerned; don't give up your day job!

Personal taste, I guess. I never liked the opening. Close-up Vader shots look out of focus, and the scene itself is completely useless. It's just an announcement. Placing Palpatine's arrival first sets out the stage, and presents the actual villain, the main threat.

That's cool. Again, it was very well done. I like to edit things myself, but I'm one who always likes to put in deleted or extended scenes. For me, more is more and forget about "pacing", lol. I also like putting things in chronological order, and did so with The Witcher (first season) and Wandavision. They were fun projects and made The Witcher's storyline a lot easier to follow. I have to redo it though, because my source material was flawed.@@ilFanEditore

One must reply that, in his opinion, the whole first act of this movie has heavy pacing issues and unnecessary scenes. Vader arriving and just announcing that Palpatine is coming is one of those useless scenes. Is that enough as an explanation?

That's just a visual modification, mostly because the older one looked really dated. Flat, with no atmosphere. The final version is different from the one in this trailer, anyway.
