To everyone complaining about this.. This was a one time overlay for the premiere. I was lucky enough to get to see it, this was a surprise that we did not know about until it was announced in the theater. This was obviously just done for fun, not a permanent overlay.. It's not meant to compete with hyperspace mountain. Just enjoy it for what it was :)

Those of you who didn't even bother to read the description, let me make it clear for you. The storyline behind this is that you are a VIP guest heading to the *premiere* of The Force Awakens in Hollywood. That is the reason why the Rock n Rollercoaster theming is still present inside the ride.

OK, One More Time. Just for good measure. This version of the Rock N Roller Coaster was a ONE NIGHT ONLY overlay for the Thursday night premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Meanwhile at Disneyland, Space Mountain had an extensive Star Wars themed overlay for the MONTHS LONG Season of The Force celebration to become Hyperspace Mountain. Given the time difference of the events between the coasts, well It should be obvious why the extensiveness of the respective coasts overlays differ between the coasts.

I'm amazed at how daft some of these commenters are. It was a one-night fun overlay. Most importantly, its not *that* far off from the theme because the point is that you are riding in a hyperspeed powered vehicle from Orlando to Hollywood to make it to the Earth-based premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

desmond gadson I know and I have to say that John Williams's music is phenomenal. But, I just wished that they didn't add the soundtrack to the already-musical coaster. It makes me wonder if they did this to every other ride there. Sorry if I sound mean, but I really don't like Star Wars much.

Meh, a neat concept but the Star Wars music doesn't fit in with Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at all. It works perfectly for the spiraling galaxies of Space Mountain, not so much for the SoCal freeways of RnR.

I guess it wouldn't make sense to redo the entire ride for only 1 night, but they did do that with Space Mountain at Disneyland, it's currently Hyperspace Mountain and it's super cool!

If you're going to change the theme of this ride you should do it completely. Changing the music alone was not enough, all of the Rock n Roller coast props are still there and they do not blend in with the Star Wars music, I JUS SAYIN.
