Yup. It sucked for dogfighting. Although technically the level of skill the average player had at dog-fighting with the Y-Wing was around equal to that of an in-universe pilot in an X-Wing or other starfighter. At least the zany kill counts are justified by you being Luke or Wedge.

You guys should've used some of the cheat codes, like if you type KOELSCH in the cheat menu, the V-Wing is a freakin flying car & I mean that literally, not a hover car or some futuristic car, I mean a flying 1960 or 1970 Impala. I just started playing Star Wars Rouge Squadron again & seeing a car in Star Wars is hilarious since the Star Wars universe is set in a whole different galaxy altogether, unless Planet Earth is actually in the Star Wars universe. Seriously, when I played this as a kid, I didn't know about the codes until now. And don't pause the game while using the code, the game will freeze.

@@CroRain7 Episode 1 didn’t just have some “flaws”, phantom menace is considered one of the WORST blockbuster films of all time and the worst Star Wars movie period as the problem with the prequels is that they don’t just simply fail as Star Wars films, they just fail as films. Phantom menace is an ABOMINATION of a movie and one of the biggest embarrassment to filmmaking history as it’s the worst Star Wars movie PERIOD. Episode 6 had problems which are all Lucas’ fault by not allowing Gary Krutz and the other producers to direct and write a better story and movie FOR return of the Jedi but changed it because it might have effected toy sale profit. I love Revenge of the Sith but it is NOT a good movie and that’s unfortunate. You people need to stop being dishonest about this as the prequel films have had massive fundamental flaws to filmmaking for the longest that people for many years now have called out on how terrible those movies get get. I love the prequel era of Star Wars but the 3 films themselves are NOT good films at all and it’s their overall horrible films with episode 1 and 2 biggest massive embarrassments to filmmaking and causing a lot of people to pushed away from Star Wars. Don’t try to be dishonest into think the prequels only had “some flaws” because they didn’t, they don’t work at all as films as the directing and storytelling of those movies are so unbelievably terrible, it’s insane.

It's not "shooting at sand", they just weren't paying attention and playing it correctly. They didn't even get to the second level ffs. And if you read my comment, it has alot to do with Jon. The second he found a game un-appealing, he would write it off, kind of like you just did. Dan always tried to find the positive side in every game, even ones Arin hates. That's why I don't like Jon's solo channel at all. All he does is shit on games. That's his thing entirely. How you could possibly dispute that is beyond me. There are plenty of good games the grumps never really gave a fair chance. As for it being entertaining, they played Sakura spirit, which isn't even a video game. It's a script. So I don't really buy that theory. You can make anything entertaining if you put the enthusiasm and effort into it. They just didn't care to do that with this particular game, and I think that's kind of a shame. It's a fun game, they just didn't pay any real attention to it.

The tie interceptor was hidden behind the Millennium Falcon and you could also pilot the Naboo starfighter which was put into this game as a secret easter egg before episode 1 ever came out!!! Both were badass ships. You needed codes to unlock them if I remember right. Also look at the radar, go where it points, shoot the bad guys... not to difficult lol.

Actually, the in game model that was present in all Rogue Squadron games and the Battle for Naboo entry was modeled after Rudolf Stember's (a Factor 5 employee) 1969 Buick Electra, with the game model often being referred to as "Rudy's Car." The Buick in Rogue Squadron III had two other references to two other Lucas Arts games; Sam and Max and Monkey Island. As to why, it's speculated that it's a tribute to George Lucas' proclaimed appreciation of classic automotive vehicles.

I'm actually being serious here. You can unlock the Millennium Falcon, as well as a TIE Interceptor, the Naboo Starfighter, or even a 1969 Buick Electra. The Buick is only used in the V-Wing missions, and is glitchy, freezing the game after pausing it. There is also a code to unlock a mini-game that allows you to take control of an AT-ST!
