I agree! How EPIC would it have been that in one episode in the middle of the season, all of the sudden Rosario Dawson comes out as 45 year old rockin female Togruta and you wonder IS THAT AHSOKA? Then without saying anything on who it is, the character slowly reveals herself as a deeply caring, helpful, and curious person like Ahsoka is. Her actual name isn't confirmed until later when she has to bust her moves like she did in the last episode of Clone Wars... "I am Ahsoka, Ahsoka Tano..."

It's a "leak" in name only. There are non-disclosure agreements regularly made to prevent true leaks. Rosario, nor anyone before her would say anything about such a high profile project unless Disney gave them the okay first. This was probably some buzz Disney wanted to create (getting Rosario to "suggest" a possible casting) to gauge our interest level while we're all cooped up in our homes.

They could also go the "Hulk" or "Thanos" route and animate some of the actress' features into an older yet accurate Ahsoka depiction. The Mark Ruffalo Hulk looks comic/cartoon accurate while also retaining features from the actor. It can be done.

Keep in mind Ahsoka during the mandalorian is around 40 years old. Ahsoka during the Clone Wars was ~12-17 years old, so her voice would logically have matured. and everyone who says she doesn’t look like ahsoka is capping.

If she has a small part, it's possible that they'll dub Ashley Eckstein's voice over her performance like they did with Maul in Solo. But if she has a lot of screen time, well... I don't think dubbing over her voice would be a good idea because that's really hard to get right if she has a lot of lines. Who knows though, maybe Rosario does a pretty good Ahsoka voice.

I'm only guessing, but I think it will be her introduction. *Ahsoka* is essentially his creation, and he knows how beloved she is. I have faith in the casting decision even though I can't picture anyone else but Ashley Eckstein playing Ahsoka. The Mandalorian s01 is evidence enough that this series is being well planned and the casting and characterisation have been excellent so far. Honestly my biggest concern is that Ahsoka's horns / lekku (?) might end up looking fake in stunts.

She is literally perfect. I don't see Ahsoka in her Rebels form because to me that isn't her primary show; her main show is without a doubt The Clone Wars and that should be the main basis in what we should be aiming for and she is perfect, fits Ahsoka's look in every way. As for her voice, she will definitely be far more older by the time of the Mandalorian and once she is in character I know she's gonna smash it. I have hope for Dawson I know she's going to do great.

Rosario is my baby momma in canon. P.s she slayed older ashoka. People complaining about her voice. But think about it...she isn't little annoying snips anymore. This is a full blown grown ashoka who has been thru hell n back. Ashoka isn't going to be snips forever. People tend to associate Ahsoka with colored women because of her skin and unique voice but not only does that voice come straight out of Ashley, Ahsoka actually looks like Ashley if you really pay attention to her face and her mannerisms. It can be hard to notice just because of her animation style, her skin and the fact that she has a much slimmer figure.

Michael Ensign I always imagined a human Ahsoka to be a blonde female, she always gave me that vibe. But of course that doesn’t matter as long as the actress looks and does a god job sat her. I have faith in Filoni’s casting

MtnDewmaster That’s reasonable. I just hope they’re not fancasting her. Sam Witwer’s a phenomenal VA and physical actor-as such, even though she hasn’t been in a whole lot of major live action projects I’d much rather just let her own her character in both animation and film mediums. (At the risk of sounding like a dick she’d have some body work to do.)
