One time when I was on Star Tours and the CM was having us pull on our orange seat belt tags, I said in my best Admiral Ackbar voice "It's a strap!" He didn't get it! I thought "Why are you working Star Tours?!" (Just before 6 minutes reminded me of this)

That update to space mountain looked awesome! I really like that Disneyland changes their attractions to keep fresh, even if it is temporary. The launch bay looked like a mini-museum/store. I do have faith in the Disney company to make a good Star Wars movie. I think with J.J. Abram's reliance on more practical effects I think the film might capture the imagination of a new generation just like the original did. Out here in Japan, I had to write and direct a play in English for an English Festival. I wrote a super short version of New Hope, complete with a cardboard space battle sequence. None of the students who were in the play saw Star Wars so it was great to introduce them to it. Also the audience really enjoyed it!

SO. JEALOUS. I haven't gotten to Disneyland since March of 2014, and my withdrawals are spikin hardcore. Is Season of the Force there indefinitely while they build the new land, or is it limited time only? Cuz hubby's an even bigger Star Wars geek than me, and I think he'd explode into a giant nerd piñata. I cannot WAIT to ride Hyperspace Mountain -- I love what they do with Ghost Galaxy, and how Imagineers have figured out that Space Mountain can be more than just a roller coaster through the cosmos. Like most of the other attractions, SM can have an actual STORY, I just can't believe it's taken them 30+ years to figure that out!!! And dear lord, I'm so glad Disney's in charge of the franchise now. It's like a phoenix rising from the ashes of Jar Jar Binks. Plus, NO one I mean NO ONE does juggernaut advertising, merchandise, and tie-ins like the Mouse House. I'm so excited to see what the new partnership brings us over the next decade!!

If any indication is given from the merchandise & the marketing of Star Wars Episode VII than the Force Awakens movie is going to be freakin' Epic!! I mean from the way that the toys, posters, t-shirts, etc look, they blend absolutely perfect with Episodes IV, V, & VI. I was never excited for the prequels nor have I rewatched them but I believe J.J. Abrams may have gotten it right, maybe it's just me that thinks this but I am 110% extremely Excited!

My family sat right next to you in Star Tours, lmao! I saw you more than a few times during the day. We took the Monorail inside the park when it opened, which I highly recommend instead of that massive entry line. Plus you go right to Tomorrowland! I need to go back for that eclair.
