The only thing wrong with the prequels...were the guys they cast as KidAnakin and Anakin. (Then they *finally* got it right in The Clone Wars...which are by far the best of canonical starwars media, then followed by RO.) The rest of the issues are...honestly pretty Standard to the franchise. Ie, weak writing and terrible pacing. The OT were just as terrible, the fans are just blinded by nostalgia. And Natalie Portman was BOSS as Padme/Senator Amadala. (The whole “romance subplot” is...terrible. As in, the writers didn’t know what the hell they were doing (again...), Anakin’s Actor, and Anakin the Character was a “well...it really isn’t that shocking that he murders her in III...” on a more meta Red Flags ‘Cause Toxic/PreAbuse and Not ‘Cause Jedi Code ‘Cause Not Everyone Is Aromantic and/or Asexual ...so...yeah. Typical issues, made even more glaring by who they cast as Anakin. (I *really* wish we had TCW voice actor. That guy actually understood the character! Although the writing for Anakin was still pretty terrible...but so was the writing for Luke Skywalker. (And Mark plays better villains than he did as Luke...but Luke literally was Lucas’s self-insert poorly written which...enough said.))
