@@danielwilliamson6180 You know, at one time I said the same thing, but after how Disney has handled Star Wars, it might be best characters like Mara Jade are ignored, so they don't run the risk of being ruined and have a fan uproar. George will be George, and I think his reasoning is he saw Luke's story as concluded at the end of ROTJ, and nothing happens after that. Still, I'm glad we have the EU and characters like Mara exist.

In the 2016 Fan Choice (*I miss those fan choice days...*) Mara Jade was a contestant along with Jaina Solo, Starkiller, Darth Talon, Dengar and Captain Rex. She was in last place on the final poll.

That sounds about right. Strange Jaina Solo would win the vote over Mara Jade. At this time, Disney and Hasbro were distancing themselves from the EU as far as possible and you would think people would want Mara first, thinking she would have no chance.

@@jmcgin1453 At the time when I was involve with the EU community, they were pretty unifiy in their causes; more so then other fans tbh. They knew a character like Jaina Solo was unlikely, and so put their effort to get her over the finish line. They thought at the time, there was strong a chance Mara Jade would be thrown introduced into Disney's Canon and be made into a figure. So that's why Jaina won instead.

@@AlexStarOfStarWars I think my initial vote was Cad Bane, but when it got down to the few, I did vote for Jaina. There were a few decent customs of Mara on Ebay at the time and planned to get one. Funny how every character from the short list was made except for Talon. I highly doubt Talon would be made unless they can make her outfit more conservative. Imagine a Hot Toys Darth Talon?

@@jmcgin1453 I think if Hasbro did a Darth Talon and made her outfit more conservative (e.g. her appearance in the Galaxy of Heroes) while marketing her from the "Legacy" comics, I think they would get a huge backlash and disappointment from fans. I think they would rather avoid that backlash and not go down that rabbit hole by avoiding making her altogether. I can't see them making the Darth Talon from the quote on quote "George Lucas" sequel concepts due to this Talon not being the same character as her EU counterpart and not really having a story, which is a hard sell for Hasbro to market a figure like that. If Hasbro wants to appease fans while making the figure more conservative, they should include a soft good black robe to cover up her entire body, which you could remove optionally. In the long run, I think a fan choice poll is the only real option to get a Darth Talon made. But Hasbro stopped doing them again. Another route is to do a limited Legacy comic exclusive pack that comes with her and Darth Krayt and/or Cade Skywalker.

Yeah, I can see that. She is using a lot of leftover parts. There a lot of great customs of Mara Jade on Ebay utilizing Marvel figures for the body. Thanks for watching.
