Respectfully I have to disagree, I think it works that they took out the padme art scene because it makes the bad batch less wholesome/more antagonistic (and honestly I’m the clone wars arc they are much more antagonistic and annoying than in their own show) and also I think them not going to an awards ceremony makes perfect sense. The anakin and wat tambor stuff could’ve stayed tho.

One interesting thing to note here is that Rex's helmet is actually different from the one he has in Seasons 4-6. This helmet appears to not only have a redesigned chin with more resemblance to live-action ROTS model, but it also loses its unique mouthpiece design in favor of the standard Phase II design. It's possible this unused model was what later influenced Rex's helmet design in Rebels that keeps the standard Phase II mouthpiece.

That was Dave Filoni's decision when the Bad Batch Arc got completed for Season 7: He reasoned that this would be Padme's final appearance in The Clone Wars, and that it would be in pretty poor taste that final appearance to be the subject of a gag at her expense, involving her as a piece of pin-up art. It's also probably why that scene with her and Anakin having a moment together was added.

After that scene of her Anakin talking, I think it would've been a somewhat insult. Especially when they're this close to tying ROTS movie with series together, and she's clearly in the second trimester of her pregnancy with Luke and Leia.

I somewhat agree. I thought it was an odd choice not to include it in the final version. But at the same time, I think it also helps distinguish him from other clones promoted to ARC trooper. But I do prefer the range finder on an ARC, as they kinda look bare without one.

@@xghostx9715 Agreed. The idea of a traitor applies depth to a character, especially a clone. Seeing as Slick, and by partial extent, Dogma, have shown rebellious traits against their own commanders and brothers before, it should serve as a good reminder that the capability is there. Even if it's Echo. Then again, they might've changed the dialogue to show some more distance between The Bad Batch and regular clones, invalidating the life of another brother.

I prefer the Disney / CW S7 version (besides the updated animation) - the new scene with Rex and Cody adds more emotion to their friendship and the story of how the clones are given more personality, plus I found it weird how Rex said “ECHO MIGHT BE ALIVE DUDES” in such a mellow / calm way, and Anakin and mace quickly agree - the scene with padme art always worried me even as a kid that wrecker / hunter were creeps, I love the new scene where anakins trust in Rex is developed, and he has a nice scene with padme and obi-wan, plus removing the padme art meant there were 0 padme reminders in the bad batch (even the writers of the episode 3 video game hate padme, she wasn’t in it) - in the CW S7, Crosshair taunts Rex about Echo being a traitor instead of “maybe he ain’t alive”, I guess the new version paints him more of a jerk, implying his not good relationship with “regs” - cutting the organic decimation scene I guess makes the episode feel less dragged out (for context, CW S7 Episode 3 is quite short), I guess in the original it would’ve had a pay off as it would’ve been satisfying for the audience that the species fought back with the clones, doesn’t really take away much - also Tambor saying he’s neutral is almost more of a joke than the gungans, he was there, witnessed by windu, ponds and the twileks that he’s totally against the republic (we don’t even know how he escaped) - wat tambor in the new version, refusing to tell Trench he lost Echo makes sense instead of the vague “all in good time”, and it ironically helps the republic win - a republic clone pilots helmet was changed to the completely faceless design, it reminds me less of the prequels so okay then - I think the dialogue between Anakin and trench is changed, in the original trench said “nobility is weakness”, in the CW S7 he said “Dooku will kill me” and “your a Jedi” - the medal ceremony feels less personal for Echo, Rex and the bad Batch, so I’m glad it was replaced

I didn't like the decimation scene just because it makes Anakin stupid by not just using the Force to destroy or move away the floating ball. Even that the ball is still in the official version, at least it makes sense he wouldn't try it just so they could escape secretly.

Might just be me, but it feels like alot of these scenes would've stayed if TCW didn't go cancelled and continued on the way it was made. That meaning, the pacing and composure of the episodes. TCW S7 2020 was more cinematic in a way compared the earlier seasons, even in the bad batch episodes it shows.

Cool choice they made by omitting the altercation over Echo, between our Rex & our Crosshair. And Cross falling asleep, that truly doesn't fit his personality *at all.* He's always *on* or hyper aware as any competent sniper would be. Severely unyielding isn't necessarily a negative here. That is what his skill set calls for honestly. I wish these were finished scenes that just didn't make the cut for some unknown reason. *Accolades!*

While I do like some of the changes that the new versions of season 7, there are certain scenes from the original that I prefer than the newer one, especially the first episode of the bad batch arc. The whole Rex explaining his algorithm was more clearly explained than the original. In fact, he never refers to his plans as his algorithm. Funnily enough, when Rex meets tech in the cyber center, he refers to his playbook as the algorithm. So I don’t understand the change for the Rex discussion scene.
