My favorite part of the Second Battle of Geonosis arc was when Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rex blew the wall and fell through the explosion, and Rex was just screaming all the way down. LOL XD

It was also why Anakin got help finding former mercenary senior NCO's to learn how to be a good military leader. He didn't want his incompetence to lead to the death of loyal troops. It's also why he developed the habit of Force Choking incompetent officers.
@Luke_Danger4 жыл бұрын
In fairness, Geonosis was one of those battles where it just flew together on the spot - NEITHER side had any particularly good plan because they had to make it on the spot and without a full understanding of the situation. They basically showed up and deployed, and with the battle being situated over the launch site of the CIS transports - which would be on flat land for a variety of good reasons - both sides had to deploy in the open to attack or defend as the CIS did not have time to dig trenches or set up other fortifications (and had not expected to be attacked). Where cover was available they did employ it, and the novelization made a point that once the clones got into more rugged terrain they utterly slaughtered the droids due to superior small unit tactics. Now, the fact that it was done by a bunch of animators who didn't really know better whereas Hoth (also a battle on open ground) at least that Norwegian Reservists able to offer advice (plus the Rebels having had time to set up defenses and having expected to be attacked directly) did not help either, but Geonosis - while certainly not *great* tactically - was also a situation where they just did not have much in the way of options or the time to develop options. Revenge of the Sith improved this dramatically as well with everyone making use of cover if an option unless storming a position or having Jedi to provide deflection.

I hated how The Clone Wars undermined GAR, clones die left and right in really stupid ways and their equipment (for example AT-TEs) seem to do nothing. AT-TE's mass driver cannon could take out a spaceship, those AAT tanks had no chance in open terrain but yet we see them just slowing rolling over the flat terrain of Geonosis towards the landing zone.
@blebler30092 жыл бұрын
Yep, same thing on Ryloth when AATs stop Mace Windu's column The only tacticals smart moves I had noticed were on Saleucami with the 501st Recon saving an AT TE, then when the 332nd start to use jetpacks first in the bad batch arc under Windu and Kenobi, then when they save the 212th just before Mandalore (but not at Mandalore, they would have been outmatched without surplus of troops and without Kryze's warriors Imo)

Churchill was a lot like Palpatine, minus the competence. When Palps sabotaged his own side, it was deliberate.
@danielhaire66774 жыл бұрын
Churchill's problem wasn't competence, but impatience. He wanted the Dardanelles Straits controlled by Turkey opened quickly to allow resupply of Russia and the opening of an eastern front to break the trench warfare deadlock in the west. Thus, he denied his planners the time to come up with an appropriate threat analysis or combat plan. His basic concept was strategically sound.

This is just the whole ass episode slightly edited. Accidental syncing occurs, where the clips line up with the song itself, but there is nothing else. I was really hoping for a masterpiece. Instead, I got a five-year-old trying to paint The Birth of Venus. Cute and gets a spot on the refrigerator door, but nothing close to resembling the real thing.
