I don't think they could've ended this timeless series better than this. The music, the cinematography, the heart wrenching injustice of Order 66 gaining a whole new meaning now that we've gotten to know and grown alongside the clones and the Jedi who came to see them as friends and sometimes even family, torn apart by the monster who orchestrated all of it from the beginning. This show was a gift and a privilege to experience growing up and getting to see it end fittingly.

I've been on edge for the entire episode, even when it was silent and peaceful, knowing what was about to come. It really speaks for its success that even when you know the "plot twist" it still keeps you on edge.
@adronius1473 жыл бұрын
@@DeltaTimo Yep, that's dramatic irony. Probably the best and most meaningful execution of it I've ever seen. A good plot twist blows your mind and instantly flips the established status quo on its head, leaving you and the characters scrambling to get their bearings, but good dramatic irony keeps you on the edge of your seat with bated breath and anticipation as you watch every little piece slowly taking their place for the final crescendo, knowing exactly what will happen. It's powerful because you don't know when, or how, but you can see and feel the build-up, and when it finally happens, the payoff is cathartic.

When you realize Clone Wars literally bridged the gap between the start of the Global Recession in 2008 and the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I think what hits home for a lot of people is when this finale aired. It was the start of the COVID-19 pandemic/lockdowns and no one really knew what we were about to go through. For those of us who grew up with Clone Wars and were still relatively young (season 1 aired when I started high school), we look back on those times that appear innocent. Now that our favorite show wraps up, we face a new world of challenges of the unknown, just as our heroes in the show.

The clone wars movie came out while I was in kindergarten. At recess all the boys would run around as we played “clones vs droids”. The atmosphere was immaculate. Clone wars is what me and my best friends bonded over and just as we entered middle school, it ended. We were deeply saddened to see it go and in that time we grew up. I was the only friend in my close group to watch Rebels which I was okay with. Then one day in high school, MAGIC! The clone wars were saved and at the end of my junior year, we all got together at one of our houses to watch the new season. We were grown up now but it was as if not a day had gone by since kindergarten. Then the pandemic came and we had to finish the last 4 episodes alone. Safe to say we all cried as we felt a new connection to Ahsoka realizing that we were now the same age she was at the end of the war. Clone Wars will always be special to me.

It's a very weird thought, but for some reason I always found as Mandalore the center of the Clone Wars TV show, almost more than Kamino. It didn't appear until Season 2 of course, but after that we got so many episodes about it from Ahsoka teaching kids, Obi-Wan and Satine's past relationship revealed, to death watch taking back the planet in 4 and 5. Finally we get the Siege; as Mandalore falls, so does the TV show. The nods we see Ahsoka and Rex give to the Ursa/Bo was kind of like a "That'll do it, see you guys in the next series."
@rickyk4583 Жыл бұрын
@@lifevest1 Honestly I kind of see that. Kamino was the home of the clones but was only really important during the Fives arc. Mandalore goes through so much in so little time and we see it all unfold. And it was one of the few planets that weren't directly influenced by Sidious, even though he tried. There's this sense of stakes attached to it because we know that Mandalore becomes Imperial but have no idea how it got to that point until the end of TCW/Rebels. God damn, I love their writing and I miss the buildups of TCW while watching The Bad Batch.
