If they truly only cared about the money we would start seeing Christmas specials, Ewoks: Caravan of Courage, and Star Wars: Detours stuff. Oh wait, we already saw all three of those when George Lucas still ran the place. Not to mention nearly all of his prequel designs were the way they were for the sole purpose of selling toys. George stopped giving a fuck about Star Wars the second the 3D rendition of TPM flopped and his toy sales started dwindling. Thats why he sold the rights to it.

If you're talking about the marketing stuff, it was always there way before Disney ever considered buy Star Wars. George Lucas was really heavy into marketing Star Wars ever since A New Hope. He puts a lot of emphasis in merchandising as that's the real form of income for his movies to make. There's a reason why there's a clone army of George Lucas and not an army of Micky Mouses. Disney wasn't the only one exploiting Star Wars, George was the first but he focus mostly on video games, novels, comics, and other that are not as noticable as TV shows and Movies as seen in Disney. But he always relied on merchandise as a stable income for his IP for decades way before Disney made a deal with him. This skit didn't aged like wine, it aged like water as it's always relevant no matter what

Sure he didn't made a bunch of TV shows, but there were a bunch of video games, books, comics, toys, and constant re-releases of the OT that adds new stuff to the movies whether for better immersion or just adding random CG garbage for some reason. There's a reason why people dislike the de-canonization of the EU when Disney bought it. There's like hundreds of mediums that were made under George's ownership and these all exist as products to buy. Sure many of them were great like Force Unleash, Jedi Academy, and others but they exist for the same reason Mandalorian and Rogue One was made, to make money from Star Wars fans and expanding an audience to make more money. Star Wars is a great IP, but it would have never existed if it weren't for merchandises considering how big their budget were.

@@carlosmaldonado5697 In Star Wars, for the Jedi and I suppose the Sith there are different combat forms that also double as schools of thought; you can tell a lot about a Jedi by the form they choose to hone in on. Dooku was the master of combat form II, or Makashi. Its the purist lightsaber duelists form of choice with the real world analog being akin to fencing and sword dueling where precise strikes/parries and footwork are paramount. An elegant, sophisticated style for a likewise character. Dooku was one of the greatest duelists of the Jedi order, to the point he could hold his ground against Yoda and in a few sparring sessions managed to best him.
