Ben's death sucked, He had the biggest character arc out of all the sequel characters (imo). It would've been nice to see him and Rey have a life together after he turned fully to the light and she learned that she didn't have to be defined by who her grandfather was. And that way it actually would've been "the Rise of Skywalker", instead of all the biological Skywalkers dying instead of rising. Thank you for a happy ending.

I'm pretty sure Ben being a war criminal would have put a damper on to his and Rey's happy ending. Even after he came over to the light he had to die. I mean he was complicit in millions of people being killed when Star Killer base pretty much destroyed the Hosnian System.

In a way you can see it as payback for EVERYTHING Palpatine did, he ruined Anakins life by manipulating him and controlling him for years. He ruined Luke and Leia's lives by taking their mother and father away from them and ruining any chance for a normal life, Rey Palpatine betraying her Sith grandfather and choosing good over her own blood AND destroying him? Seems like justice to me; its just the way they went about the story that needed some work.

Better alternate ending: Rey dies and Ben survives. He goes to the Rebels and give them Rey's body for burial. Then he goes to Tattooine to bury the lightsabres. Camel Person: What is your name? Also, Rey could be warned about being with Ben, but she could tell the resistance that she and him were going to the unknown regions to discover the mysteries of the Force in order for the cycle of war to finally end, and that she would keep him in line (to stay good) - even if it means the government would try to hunt them down...

Rey is the daughter of Han and Leia. Sister of Kylo Ren. An imperial impersonator was selected to double as Rey and another was selected to double Kylo Ren. The true Rey only fought the double of Kylo Ren. Only the doubles were involved in the Snoke slaying. Rey became the wealthiest and most famous person on the galaxy, when she invented a planetary shield to absorb the energy blast of any Starkiller based energy weapon. The absorbed energy could also be stored and shipped to planets with low energy resources.

This ending would have been SOOO much better. Rey ends up with Ben at the end, after she turned him, he lived….and the Skywalker legacy continues. Also, with that added scene of him showing up, makes sense now as to why she chose Skywalker. Had they chose this ending, there would have been a lot less groans and sneers from the audiences when she says it.

they should have done a movie where Ben solo has absolutely no Jedi potential no matter how much he begs uncle Luke to let him join the club but uncle Luke says nope only for force sensitives. He runs away and joins the empire (first order whatever)to be used like a giant tool for propaganda purposes and grandpa palpatine using the dark side to make Ben solo think and appear he is force sensitive. that's how he rises in the ranks of the first order. No Rey. No Finn (seriously he has to be the weakest main character ever) poe only shows up in dogfighting situations.

I read the rumor that in Hollywood film, The character killed tons of people(or done evil thing) must die at the end, even the character finally repented. Maybe they could just take Ben's force ability or make him weak (Death of Kylo Ren) and let him live.
