Look I think they're putting a lot of resources into this (seriously look at the amount of games products ffg has put out the past few years) and they're implementing a lot of learned lessons. Anything I've played from ffg has always been a lot of fun so I'm cautiously optimistic.

Looks great gentlemen. The OP lead by Josh is incredible. The game philosophy and direction by Jim and Danny is perfect. I can't believe we finally got here but I think you finally figured out the formula to a successful TCG. Accessible with the ability to collect. Affordable yet profitable. Accessible yet strategic. You've hit the balance and should be proud.

Yeah... could be better though. Accessibility is not really there, Legendary drop rate is a little low. And also this could do with 2 rare slots altogether. That way it be a bit more true that it's all about the chase cards. As it stands, no. If there's a meta Legendary, or if you need to complete a playset, they'll be very expensive. Also starters should be closer to $25 just to get people playing. At $35 it feels less likely to pick up on a whim.

Missed the stream today, but excited to see more of the products, and was honestly expecting more cost per pack seeing as Lorcana was more expensive for only a 12 card pack. Excited to jump onto a prerelease event locally!

Man, as much as I want to hate on this since Destiny, you guys seem to be making all the right decisions. Great pack amount, great price point, great OP plans and prizing, I'm definitely back in. Sure wish my homies at Keyforge could follow this kind of plan. Just please, please, please keep your big OP events Swiss format....

It’s FFG. Release will be garbage, with everyone getting allocated and speculators hoarding things. Events will be restricted to the lucky few who got a box. By the time supplies are fixed, the hype is gone because people who couldn’t play moved on to something else.

Really bummed I can’t play this game. I live in Japan so will completely miss out on the pre release and I have a feeling importing product will be expensive…Star Wars(decipher) was my introduction to card games and I’ve played so many card games over the years including many Star Wars ones…this one looks like so much fun…

All that means is that people open boxes until they find the showcase then sell the rest. This way it seems there's no guarantees.

$5 per pack, $120 box msrp, $720 per case. Lots of stores sell at 80% so boxes might be around $95.

I appreciate the effort TCGs try to put into encouraging people to play locally and get cool cards that way, but I know a bunch of stores just pop all that stuff and sell it as singles and the only way to get all that stuff for most people is going to be paying some scalper an enormous amount of money on TCGP. I know having a whole deck of alt-arts is cool, but part of the reason some games don't do that is because it is pretty disappointing for an alt-art of a common card to take up a rare slot. Also, kind of sad to see those awesome borderless cards as exclusives instead of just...how the cards look. They really make the normal cards look claustrophobic and boring.

They said the hyperspace rares will replace an uncommon in the pack, not a rare. You can get 4 rares in a pack (rare slot, foil slot, hyperspace slot, and leader slot).

You emphasized making this release casual and for players to make a flgs a home to play the game, that made me think of calling it a base you know like in the game. But another thought was, wouldn't it be cool to have stores link up for organized play and the players who frequent their base, take another other players from another base in a sort of tournament thing. FFG could have a special promo box/package for the two bases who take part, and each base sends 8 units to compete, each competing unit gets a special card, the winning base gets x product from FFG. If this is broken down by whatever zip code area per capita thing, it could stretch across the state finalizing with one base emerging as a planet (state) representative at a galaxy tournament FFG puts on at a con and then all the planets battle in a galactic showdown!!! Travel across states and to this con showdown could hamper some players from the base not being able to go, but maybe some of the pull FFG provides is packs and/or funds for the base to send their units on mission with. Instead of 8 units per base, perhaps only 4 to lower the funds needed. I'm sure this won't get considered in any way, but it sounds freaking cool to me. Imagine swapping some enamal pins at the galaxy showdown with the base from San Diego when you are from Madison. You could snap a photo and hang up in your respective bases. Never tell me the odds!

Be just like every other game I have played. Hype is there at the start then it declines drastically. Every few months a new booster comes out for extra revenue for the sellers and more head ache for us investors. Invest a lot for it to die within a few years. Seen so many great games die in a years time, so what will make this one different? Hate to say it but feels like a cash grab that won’t last more then a few years if that.
