Hi! Thank you for the podcast. I've been playing CCGs since 1996 and I am 100% sure that SWU will make it to the 2-year mark. It has great game design, full support from FFG and the game launch was amazing. The question is: will it break the 2-year mark? Because most CCGs, even if they're great, have a hard time making it past 2 years. I think it probably will, but then, you never know. If it does, then we can say it's been succcessful, and we'd be looking at 3-5 years of sets and organized play.

It's sold out everywhere so I hope FFG can keep up with the demand. I remember alot of people ditching Lorcana just because there wasn't enough product.

This is very different than Lorcana though. Lorcana basically only a select few could get it on release like pre orders weren't getting filled. SWU has not had that issue, there was about 2 weeks were product was selling under MSRP. Now that is all dried up and it's a bit slow but you can still find product. I have stores running drafts and selling packs!

I heard dreamers vault champlin is no longer doing drafts due to saving all packs for prize support. Hopefully this changes soon because drafts are a great time.

@@vc8963 My guess is that they do it like magic, print sort of on demand. If I'm not mistaken, most MtG sets stay in print for a year or more before it's out of print for good.

So, I prefer Twin Suns: you can't stack things as badly, you have all the card variety, big possibilities with two leaders, and it seems like the format for long-term playing of the game (years of play, swapping in new sets). I feel like it's being overlooked. I wish you would do a video on formats and how you see them long-term. I really would just like Draft and then Twin Suns to carry the game. #TwinSuns #Draft #CardVariety #LongTermPlay #StarWarsCCG 🎮🃏

I couldn't agree more! Competitive players will likely always play premier but Twin Suns will likely garner a large portion of the player base imo. Draft is also something I think is currently underplayed since not everyone has drafted before but once they get into it, it will become a larger portion!

Digimon is great game and a top game no less. But yeah people seem to just forget about for some reason. Digimon is better than lorcana, pokemon, yugioh and a lot of others. Thst being said, I'm going to transition to SWU and Digimon moving forward.

.... Nah dog. Pokemon has an insanely huge player base. And flesh and blood is driving larger legs numbers than Yu-Gi-Oh... And fab never had a Kickstarter. Do some research please. Magic has never had more physical players lol

Lmao ok... Still for a new game is getting more and more players so i think it will be another pillar in the TCG market. Magic will be always 1 though. FaB is very expensive and i doubt that game will get more players for the coming years. So yeah

@@OdracPR fab continues to grow year to year. These numbers are public. You people do 0 research and just make conjecture. My issue was not that SWU isn't good or won't stick around. It was the numerous ridiculous non factual statements in the podcast. If you have a podcast about tcgs the bare minimum requirement should be you research the things you are talking about. Nearly everything said about non SWU tcgs was incorrect. And on the SWU sales .... Asmodee said it's selling good but that monstrosity Descent 3rd edition still made more money and sold more. As did marvel champions according to Caleb. So even saying this is their biggest success is not correct.
