i cried at every single trailer for this movie and even traveled home from collage a few days early for Christmas so i could see the movie that first time with my dad because he got me into star wars in the first place and i was silently crying when the title crawl happened and it was mostly tears of joy because it was star wars but than as the movie went on i had to leave for a few minutes to cry alone because it felt like there was an empty seat next to me and my dad and it made me wish my big brother was still alive to see this amazing movie and when i came back finally went back into the movie i enjoyed it even though i was holding my brothers military dog tags in my hands and than it got to the part that broke the hearts of everyone and i didnt cry about that untill i got home from the movie because it made me realize how scared i am that im getting older and one day my mom and dad aren't gonna be around anymore (so yea it was am emotional experience for me the night it came out)

Ahh! How endearing. I'm from London and this afternoon I was waking down Charing Cross rd in London near londons theatre land and so Ian McDiarmid who played the emperor walking casually by. What reaction would you have given him. As I turned around to watch him go by I noticed some tourists look his way trying to place him from their memory and then he was lost in the crowds.

I appreciate your reactions to the trailers; I had much the same reaction, but for different reasons. When Episode IV first premiered in 1977, I was 12, and my father had died less than two years before. Fast forward to the present day, and until I had seen the trailers, I was a fairly bitter middle-aged man. The second teaser trailer is what broke through my shell, stripped away the intervening 38 years, and I was 12 again; the world had dealt me a harsh blow, but...*deep breath* there was something to be excited about, something to look forward to. You don't have any idea what that means, to have that kind of feeling again, when one is in the autumn of their life. It's like having, for the briefest of moments, the weight of a drab and dreary existence lifted away, and being able to run free with the endless possibilities of life in front of you/ You go ahead and cry; there is a difference between tears of sadness and tears of joy; you, my good person, are having tears of joy.

I totally understand how you feel. As a long time fan, there was one part in the last trailer where they play " Han Solo and the Princess " when they show the Millennium Falcon...that was my breaking point.

Interesting fact: John Williams took the "Siegfried-Motive" from Richard Wagners "Ring" for his "Force-Theme". Here you can hear the Siegfried-Motive and compare it! /watch?v=h5GxoFy5Q9E So you can say, the Force-Theme is about 150 years old, because Wagner wrote those operas in the 1860s.

I've been watching your reactions videos about Star Wars for about a couple of months. Each time you start crying I want to hug you badly because much of the time I fear you won't be able to make it through the day, especially when you finally get to see the movie.
