Like, I know these shorts aren’t canon, but I really need to see this idea of “the song of the force” or whatever expanded on in some way, it’s such a unique take on the force.
@Dijon17 Жыл бұрын
Same!! I loved that too. Between the song in the last ep and the painting with the first I love how these stories creatively incorporate the force

in a way Avar Kriss can kinda hear the force and the other jedi as a form of song/music

Rebels expanded so much of what was possible with the force, so one day we could see further canon expansions. This idea of resonance among kyber crystals is very beautiful.

I really didn't think i was going to like this one as much as I did. It's one of my favorites from the season, it's very cute and wholesome.
@aricaj.3006 Жыл бұрын
The vibe of this short felt very Ghibli-esque. It's definitely an atmosphere I wouldn't mind seeing more of in Star Wars, since it's honestly very compatible with the more fantasy-type elements of the universe. Also I want an Aau plushie now, she's so cute 😭

I need plushies of Aau, her dad, and the Jedi Kratu!!!
@fusionaddict Жыл бұрын
Isn't it canon that some people have force abilities that were very specialized, or that drive them in very particular directions? Like Bendu said, Ezra's ability to speak with animals. Or Quinlan Vos' psychokinesis. In Aau's case, she has another one of these rare secondary abilities, the ability to hear and feel the connection between all the kyber, and can synchronize their song with her voice to bring them back into harmony with the world and with each other.
@brendansmith9946 Жыл бұрын
Force cleansing crystals must certainly exists. Ahsoka did it to two Inquisitor crystals and that's why her new sabers are white
@catswithlasers Жыл бұрын
This episode was very fun. It also showed us one of the ways you can cleanse a bled kyber crystal. Ahsoka cleansed her current crystals after she took them from an Inquisitor. Also, I liked how Aau heard the crystals singing. It reminds me of how Avar Kriss described the Force as a song she could hear. What an incredible season!
@wolfpack_104 Жыл бұрын
The idea of using singing in order to harmonize/resonate with the crystals is such a novel idea, I'm surprised it hasn't been done sooner. An unexpectedly thought provoking episode to wrap up season 2.

@@KyleKatarnChannel But that stop motion animation is really cute, I really enjoyed it, which was really surprise, I didn't expect anything from this episode, but at the end, pretty much all episodes in season 2 were great so I can't really say what was the best episode.

4:00 I thought you guys were serious Star Wars nerds. The Reverse process of Kyber Bleeding is Purifying. That's where we get White Lightsabers. We have 4 examples of purifying a lightsaber crystal in Canon although we haven't seen it "on screen". Ahsoka with her blades, Jora Melli had one, Orla Jareni had a folding saberstaff, and Luke purified a kyber for Komat.
@Blazeor2 Жыл бұрын
You are right, normally a jedi (like Ahsoka) can clean one crystal after another with great afford, as told in the forewording. And those purified ones are WHITE not natural clear ... But Aau cleaned a whole Mountain, maybe the whole planet at once... THAT is the difference here. I think thats surprise Kyle and Bendu, not the fact of purifying.
With the variety of studios/countries/accents through this season there is so much potential for more and more seasons. There are also chances of some stories continued down the road. When we got the trailer, I prematurely thought that it would be my favorite episode. It was funny, but, this one stole my heart. I've already looked, sadly, there aren't any shirts available for any of this year's season. Hopefully soon.

This one has the comfiest art style and a spectacle on the background design. Regarding if this is stop motion. It's mostly not. The felt material on the characters, which apparently you can render out in Blender with a few shader tutorials, made a good impression as a stop motion production. Plus, some of the animation was done in 4s and 5s (meaning a frame of the character's movement stays for four, five or more frames instead having each frame unique. In most cases this is done to save budget and time to render the scene if it done in cgi or to save time if its stop motion.) which made it look more stop motion esque. Triggerfish Studios has mostly 3d animation works unless I'm wrong and this is their first stop motion production.

I've been waiting for this reaction from you guys. This was my favorite episode of the season, right up there with the bandits episode. The entire season was incredible. The dark themes that use star wars to somewhat emulate real history of the regions shown, incredible. So much of this season feel like they could even be cannon stories. I for one would absolutely love to hear more stories about these characters, especially bandits and aaus song.

18:11 that reminded me of a Babylon 5 quote, from an evil Emperor no less! "Do you know we assigned him one our best Pain technicians? - Pain technicians? They used to be called torturers. But ever since they got organized, it's 'pain technicians'."

I've said this before, but I've had many, more emotional connections to the stories in season 2, these are all great, but I have to say that eps 7&9 are my favs. I think part of the reason is that they deal with girls who are adored by the men/boys of their family. I know I'm not alone in this, but at best, I was tolerated by my father and brothers. I'm well into adulthood, but I still feel that sting and hollowness, so 7&9 are really bittersweet. As a little girl, I mean really small, there were 3D puppet books. You can see them if you do an image search. Anyway, I've collected a few over the decades, and ep9 reminds me very much of those books, but in a SW universe. Lastly, it is a universal theme, but I think ep8 was mainly based on the diamond mines in Africa.

I need Aau to be canon and end up on Tanalorr, to survive there and learn until reappearing in proper canon later. I need it BAD. Such a unique and beautiful - maybe even vital - force specialization. And she’s so adorable and wholesome.

16:41 that's the thing about crazy people, they don't know that they're crazy. Season 2 is hands down better than season one. Like you, there isn't a story that I didn't like this season. My favorites this season though are the Sith, Journey to the Dark Head and the Bandits of Golak. The stories were interesting sure, but I especially enjoyed their action sequences too. I hope some of these characters make their way into conical stories. I want to see more of a lot of these characters, even though he's dead, I want to see more of that Inquistor for the Bandits of Golak. What's his story?! I hope we get a season three and I hope the studios involved keep pushing the envelope.

All this season has the advantage of already having a season 1, and also this is a more plural global multicultural season, since is from all over the world, while the last one was only from asia and anime. Not taking anything away from it but definetly this season is just better.

May the Force with us all... on our planet, Earth.
