[Star Wars vs. Warhammer 40k] Geonosis: Mechanicus Duel | Cinematic | Assault Squad 2

Forces of the Imperium of Man on the planet of Christophsis report the presence of strange AI-driven battle automatons that the locals refer to as "battle droids". The news of such heretical technology has led a large Adeptus Mechanicus fleet to be dispatched to the source of such abominations - the factory planet Geonosis. After a brief conflict in space, a large contingent of Admech troops backed by Dunecrawlers, Kastelan Robots, and Mechanicus Knights make planetfall to continue their purge of this heretical technology.

On the planet of Geonosis where massive droid factories churn out countless Droids, weapons, supplies, equipment and vehicles, etc., Count Dooku, who is accompanied by a Tactical Droid and a squad of Commando Droids, have assembled a sizeable army of Droids composed of 700 B2 Droids, 30 Light and Heavy Droid Walkers, 3 Super Tanks and 4 Mobile Troop Transports in order to confront and drive out the new invaders (and the unexpected and wildcard 3rd party in the Clone Wars) called the Adeptus Mechanicus from the Imperium of Man. Because Chancellor Palpatine who is also known as Darth Sidious, had ordered his apprentice Dooku to defend Geonosis at all costs and prepare the Separatists to fight back with their full might against the so-called Imperium that has appeared presumably from the Unknown Regions to conquer and subjugate the galaxy and had already made enemies with the Galactic Republic after their invasion of Christophsis that wiped out both Clone and Droid forces there. Meanwhile, after a brief conflict in space and landed on the planet, the Adeptus Mechanicus have deployed their forces composed of Skiitari Rangers, Castellans, Combat Servitors, and Imperial Knights, etc. in their crusade to destroy the heretical Abominable Intelligence as these AI-driven automatons are a grave affront to the Omnissiah. Back on Christophsis, the Imperium learns of the existence of the so-called "battle droids" after the tech priests discovered the destroyed machines' remains belonging to the so-called Confederacy of Independent Systems upon inspecting them and found the source of their creation to be from Geonosis. The battle begins with the Droid and Mechanicus forces opening and exchanging fire against each other with intensified forward firepower of their respectively powerful arsenal. Although, the Droids were soon cut down by volleys of accurate fire from the Mechanicus such as precision lascannon fire that disabled the Super Tank and the CIS forces begin to buckle. However, the Droids have managed to kill several Combat Servitors and Skiitari Rangers, proving themselves as formidable in their own right and they put up quite a fierce fight despite being outmatched in quantity and quality. But reinforcements from the Mechanicus arrived to turn the tide back in the Omnissiah's favor and flanked the Droid lines on the left where a Heavy Droid Walker was destroyed and its explosion killed the Skiitari caught in its range and a MTT was sent flying and crushed the hapless B2 Droids with its mass. Undettered of the losses they have suffered and kept pressing on until victory or death, the Droids begin their final attack on the Mechanicus forces and seemed to have a hope spot of pushing back the enemy. Yet the scions of the Omnissiah had unleashed the two Imperial Knights who lead the counterattack and crushed a lot of B2 Droids, some Heavy Droid Walkers and two MTTs while shrugging off their heavy blaster and plasma missile fire. With the superiority both in numbers, tactics and warfare, and sacred technology giving them the upper hand, the forces of the Omnissiah have the High Ground (which Obi-Wan sneezed for some reason on the other side of the galaxy) over the Separatist forces who are almost destroyed at their hands and the latter's surviving MTTs and any surviving Droids are in full retreat. Victory goes to the Adeptus Mechanicus whose forces pressed forward to pursue the defeated Droids which it would lead them straight to the CIS factories where all of them will be thoroughly destroyed and purged from existence from the face of Geonosis. Little did they know, Count Dooku and his greater CIS army along with the militia of Geonosian natives are waiting for these Mechanicus invaders to defend the factories at all costs and prepare everything they can to stop the Omnissiah's servants after they have observed and recorded in their combat data of everything they needed to know of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

The clones and their Jedi general are fighting on against the CIS armies and Chaotic forces and then Republic Gunships arrive and deploy a new kind of clone. Made from the same genetic template as the original clones, but they're stronger, faster, smarter, and possess much more endurance. Wearing armor similar to the AT-TE but it doesn't hinder their movement, bearing more powerful weapons than ever before. And they assist their brothers and their general break through the enemy lines, their seen destroying the enemy forces without effort, their weapons cutting through the enemy like a hot knife through butter. And all clones are able to receive this upgrade.

@Lord Admiral Spire Gun servitors vary in armament, but the least is a heavy stubber, equivalent to today's .50 or 14.5mm HMG, whereas the B2 has a blaster suposedly about equal to the 25mm of the M2 Bradley, lighter than most imperial autocannons, but a bit nastier than a heavy bolter.

Honestly, Covenant probably win. They have better hyperspeed, Elites are probably better in melee combat than Kroot, and have better cannon fodder in Grunts. Ground battles would be brutal for the Covenant, and I think they would take heavy losses, but there's just more covenant.

The way to give Star Wars a chance is through guerilla offensives and logistics. 40K can't compete with the hyperspeed Star Wars has in the slightest, short of Orkz looting it (which is a real possibility and danger to the galaxy, by the way). Basically, Star Wars has to play super, super lame, like Genghis Khan, and they might pull out a win. Assuming Orkz don't loot hyperdrives, and Tyranids don't figure out how to produce Midichlorian.

When Orkz loot something, that is describing a process where Orkz are salvaging some sort of machine, repairing it to, uh, "good as new", giving it all of it's original functionality via WAAAGH! energy, then improving on the basic design by painting it red, or giving it extra guns, or giving it a big red button. You actually can't loot something the Orkz have, since there's a reasonable chance the craft is actually non-functional, and is entirely being held together by WAAAGH! Looting Ork Technowlowgee is basically a fruitless endeavor as a result.

CIS also did not get any reinforcements. lol and wat droid thought it would be a good idea to put the arty so close to the front.

@@CoolMyron Yes, the simulator is insanely imbalanced. The CIS should've completely stomped this battle, aside from maybe the Imperial Knights. Ironstriders would've had their pilots shot off by the sheer amount of blaster fire and B2 rockets in seconds, while the Dunecrawlers would've been taken down with a volley or two from the Supertanks. Meanwhile, nothing of the Mechanicus (aside from the Imperial Knights) could've competed with the firepower of multiple MTTs, Homing Spider Droids, and of course, Supertanks. MTTs are have firepower and armor comparable to that of ATATs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn7MqX-JZ61gY6s. Supertanks took direct shots from heavy artillery that's normally mounted on ships, then proceeded to destroy said artillery, along with ATTEs, and infantry using accurate attacks, effectively pushing back the entire Republic invasion force during the Second Battle of Geonosis. They were only able to be defeated by falling into a gorge after the bridge was destroyed that they were on. I have no idea why this guy thinks that a single lascannon shot is going to do any damage at all to a Supertank that took several direct shots from heavy artillery. During the first battle of Geonosis, the two most feared vehicles of the CIS were the Hailfire Droid, and the Homing Spider Droid. The Homing Spider Droid was arguably more dangerous because it didn't have to have Drones constantly reloading its munitions, and coordinated exceptionally well with Dwarf Spider Droids. Dwarf Spider Droids could relay information to the Homing Spider Droids for better targeting and accuracy at longer ranges. A Homing Spider Droid could singlehandedly destroy an entire contingent of ATTEs, then kill several infantry with the homing laser. Additionally, it was very well armored on the legs, and especially the bulblike center. The CIS had the equivalent of several superheavy, and heavy tanks, while the Mechanicus had the equivalent of light scout vehicles, with maybe a couple medium tanks. The CIS in this battle would've won because of quality and quantity, because they had more Homing Spider Droids and Supertanks, than the Mechanicus had Onager Dunecrawlers.

nah Star wars is superior in certain areas over 40K but when it comes to straight up battles unless they have an overwhelming edge in numbers to 40K they will lose. note this assessment is based purely on the canon version of star wars not on the expanded universe since that's retcon

They would if the more ridiculous star wars units were available in the mod like some of the following B3 Ultra Battle Droids C-B3 Cortosis Battle Droid Scorpenek Annihilator Droid s YVH 1 - Series Battle Droids SD-10 battle Droids X-1 Viper s SD-6 Hulk Infantry Droid s SD-9-series battle Droids Phase III Dark Troopers Which are easily on par with a lot of 40k units. Like the Phase 3 Dark Troopers which have armor made out of a material called Phrik that is virtually indestructible and by indestructible I mean a container made out of the material survived the explosion that blew up Alderaan and the container was completely undamaged by the planet killing explosion. Phase 3s were armed with two shoulder mounted seeker missile racks, two, twin wrist integrated blaster cannons, as well as concussion grenades, thermal detonators, frag grenades and a fully automatic 5 barreled assault plasma cannon with an RPM of over 600. And it's not even the most powerful unit on that list either.

Let me just say.. The cis was a bit underwhelming, the spiders were not accurate here... No where near close, in the movies and in animated series those small things actually are pretty powerful... Should have taken out at least 2 to 3 per shot, but no everyone thinks warhammer would win, those little things were actually so percise, dont confuse them with stormtroopers, and the super tank? Do you actually know that its literally 100 percent impervious to any kind of weapon, so how do you think this was realistic, the things in the animated series were literally destroyed from the inside?? So what are we talking about here? That one thing could have destroyed everything on the battlefield by itself, and I won't continue because somebody will say ok but the adeptus bla bla bla... Warhammer fans are a bit blinded, they only think about 3 lungs 2 hearts armor...

40k is superior to Star Wars. No matter how backwards their society, the Imperium of Man is still one of the most advance science fiction factions.

SW factions has one potential advantage though, they could, in theory, create local superiority through the fact that hyperspace technology is faster and more reliable than 40k humanitys warp travel. That, however, is dependant on if the star wars faction trying to reach local superiority through such a surprise has the ability to concentrate such vast numbers of ships and manpower without depleting other fronts against other SW factions to the point of walk-over defeats.

@@SonsOfLorgar True, what about their arsenal though? I heard SW army got the best logistic, but I think thats mostly because they only have a few type of arsenal to worry about. They got the superior FTL capabilities, thats good and all, but how would they deal with so many different type of weapon that the Imperial could field, that it just so happens that most of these is really destructive? Granted due to poor logistic, there might only be one or few of these weapons, but just one of the imperial knight is already a nightmare to the enemy itself.

"One of the most advanced science fiction factions," yet it takes them decades to build a Baneblade, and possibly centuries to build a Titan. IoM gets stomped by Time Lords, Daleks, Q, Forerunners, Siletium Flood, probably some of the SupCom factions, and logistically is outmatched by a lot of other factions. The Imperium is also in a dark age of technology, and many of their more advanced weapons can no longer be produced, from Titans to plasma guns. Their most common soldiers (being the Imperial Guardsmen and conscripts) are highly unstandardized, and perfrom differently against different enemies, making them somewhat unreliable compared to most other footsoldiers/grunts from other factions.

Umm the chapter vs the jedi is fair too strong..... No way Jedi able to kill one, like they move stupid fast enough to see bullets coming at them. A good series that can actually pull a punch with Warhammer universe is warframe. The Tenno are way stronger, a singal Tenno easily can wipe clean imperial if they really wanted.

Man I love this so much even tho my team didn’t win I enjoyed this so much THE FRICKEN SCALE of the battle itself is amazing and the narration is on point and you even squeezed in a high ground joke.
