In Star Wars lore, a Sith master chooses a name for his apprentice that instills a strong emotion within them, like fear, sadness or anger, since that is where the Sith draw their power from. For example, Palpatine chose the name Vader (dutch for "father") for Anakin to always remind him of his fear of losing his wife and child. I chose the name Keij for Eren because it sounds like "Cage", as in "Bird Cage". Eren has striven for freedom throughout the entire series (I don't know the ending of AoT yet, so please don't spoil it for me) and despised the life behind the walls, the same walls that are referred to as a "bird cage" multiple times in the series.

I love Star Wars and AoT, along with the main characters of each. As people have mentioned, Anakin and Eren are similar in many ways, especially their personalities. Both are very passionate and emotional to the point that the limitations put on them by their respective universes breaks them because they aren't able to change their fate or save the ones they care about.

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Eren the Vengeful? I thought not. It is not a Story the jedi would tell you. It's an Eldian Legend. Darth Eren was a Dark Lord of the Titanshifters so powerful and so vengeful he could use the paths to manipulate the eldians to create titans. The Dark side of the Paths is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.He had such a knowlege. I feel like if Eren was a Star Wars character he would have one red lightsaber that represents all the hate he have for the ones who attempts against the ones he cares the most and the fear of losing them, specifically Armin and Mikasa. Meanwhile the second lightsaber would be a purple one, representing his struggle against what's wrong or right vs what he understands that must be done, even though knowing isn't morally correct.

He would probably be considered a grey Jedi in my book. However, others might think of him as a Jedi or a Sith. I think the purple color is the most realistic lightsaber. Since it has to do with going back and forth between being a Jedi and a sith. I know technically speaking a purple lightsaber is one that has gone to the dark side and back to being a Jedi. But I think it represents the inner conflict the best. However, red lightsabers look super cool on him.

Now that I think of it, Revan (as described in KotOR 2) has very similar motivations to Eren. Both were of the idea that in order to fight monsters (for Eren, the Marleyans and for Revan, the True Sith) you have to abandon your humanity, be that your friends, lovers, even your whole morality. Eren and Revan are, imo, more similar to each other than either of them are to Anakin Skywalker.

I could actually see Erens story applied in the Star Wars universe. A young padawan, bright eyed and hopeful, slowly coming to the realization that the Jedi aren’t exactly the best in the entire Galaxy. As the years go by, he eventually conclusion that the Jedi aren’t inherently good, and that there must be change, other wise they will only bring more pain, alongside the Sith. He would fall from the Jedi order, and go against the tenants of the order, trying to obliterate the Sith through horrible means, inspiring younger Jedi who feel the order failed them.

Funny thing is Anakin was right Jedi order started to turn evil unintentionally. Basic political corruption started to taint them and that's what Palpatine planned it is easier overthrow order when it lose support. Humanity is basically the same, it's moral alignment is based on the type of people it represents if humans do evil thing then it is evil even if it's "minor" evil. As we all know small good can turn into a greater good, but the same rule also applies to evil if you keep feeding it you'll get major one eventually. Those who has seen what evil and good look like in person, knows that you only know them when their actions is a "honest" one.

We're actually hearing both John Williams's and Hiroyuki Sawano's music, but not really Samuel kim's music.
