Strings attached is a great way to keep Elden Ring content fresh and fun to watch. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun to watch randomizers and bingo too, but I think Strings Attached easily has more “potential” with respect to longevity. I’m not sure how long we’ll all have to wait for the next soulsborne game from fromsoft, and I don’t know how long I can keep watching randomizers and bingo (honestly I could watch them forever lol), but I know that I can watch a Strings Attached video from Chris and never get bored.

Something you should keep in mind Chris is that if someone where to finish before you completed all of your minigames, then the time to set up and finish those minigames would add onto the rest of the players overall time which I think would make it impossible for them to be able to compete unless they have a crazy string advantage. So the timers should probably be paused during minigames to prevent this from happening.

@@incendiary6243 the black rabbit brotherhood was unironically my favorite gank fights in any souls-like or souls game altogether. i think the devs choreographed it really well, it’s predictable and easy to learn who you need to handle when to decrease the stress of it without making them do that unnecessary shit in gank or adds fights where some of the characters will just stand there and pace so you’re not overwhelmed, while STILL being difficult. it’s the only gank fight i’ve ever done in a game where i didn’t wanna claw my eyes out thanks to unpredictability, so he definitely missed that point for me. not a boss with adds (even their second fight you can easily predict what’s gonna come out of the fucking coffin dude), just a gank fight with a second phase. it’s like if i called the watcher knights in hollow knight an adds fight… no it’s a gank fight that disguises itself well to surprise you the first time you enter the arena.

I think it would be a lot more fun if the value of a string is determined by rolling a random number at the end of the race after everything ends. So they don't know how important a single string is. They would try to do impressive things to lose the strings, just to find out each string is actually worth 30 seconds or something. Or they could ignore the strings and find out every string is worth 10 minutes.

This show is so peak! Only critique, I think revealing the drip contest at the start is such a win-more clause. If you complete the objective the fastest you will also have the most time to go around and get more drip, this didn't matter for zoodle in the end due to high amount of strings but it does make it even more punishing for the person completing the objective last.

Yeah I agree, I more just saw it as something to give the contestants to do in the meantime while waiting for others to finish if they did already, but i guess that's what the hidden objectives are for

@@star0chris If you see this, I might suggest that completing the main objective locks in a players time (as it does now) but also prevents them from being allowed to pursue any other side objectives, whether that be hidden objectives, or something like the drip contest. That way they need to complete anything they want to do before their timer stops, and it adds a little more strategy into the gameplan, since players will need to decide whether the time they spend doing side objectives will be worth it for the rewards, rather than just rushing the main goal and then doing other things while their timer is stopped and they wait for others to finish.

Great improvements since last video! And much respect to Zoodle for keep trying to beat an enemy using just his face. He was really HEADstrong. I think the contestants still have to pick up on that all hidden bonus objectives are directly or indirectly connected to the main goal. Which is the best way to do bonus objectives. It just wouldn't make sense to win 10 minutes of time (2 strings) trying to kill a boss easily 8-12 minutes out of your way, depending on how well you perform. I do wonder one thing about the minigames and wheel spins. Let's say someone finishes the goal 30 minutes before anyone else. Would everyone else still need to play minigames, and have the wheel spun? I think minigames that don't impede game time, but give you a chance to loose or gain strings are still fine, but the wheel spin would only affect those already behind. I doubt this is a scenario that will happen in the future, since the goal is decently balanced, but just hypothetically speaking.

Been waiting for you to drop this bad boy my guy! I watched when you streamed it and the vid came out even better I do have some recommendations for future strings attached though 1.) Is to return to loading up the wheel with as many things as possible, even though you got through everything in this strings attached without going overtime the wheel just felt small and lacking 2.) Is the hidden challenges, I liked it a lot better when it was up to the players to try and impress you instead but at the same time I like the idea of hidden objectives so maybe there's some way to combine the two

Oh wow, the presentations were actually solid. Pretty accurate most of them, only for Gideon i might add, aside from making him easier or not, him hetting the spells of the bosses you beat is a pretty neat mechanic (but regardless Fuck NPC bosses). And well yeah i would disagree about Bayle, I don't believe I've summoned the finger dude a single time and I still find him to be a great boss. And well as for fire, yeah, I absolutely agree, the bouncing fire makes 0 sense (I'm pretty sure whoever was in charge of coding that has never seen fire in his life). But like I feel Bayle has that issue the least of all other dragons, as there arent random rocks everywhere that the fire can just decide "you die now" and his arena is quite large.
