Hello, I am a fan of Trine series. I bought many copies of Trine 1, 2, 3, 4, 9P. I play through many times. I've been following Frozenbyte for years. Though I am not really into Starbase and I have 3D sickness, I still bought it to support Frozenbyte. If I could be greedy and a little impolite when there is chance for me to make a wish, I wish to see more Trine news. )

Guys, please consider a combat only game mode. This stuff looks cool, the voxel damage is cool, not everyone is interested in gathering resources and crafting for 10 hours before seeing any action. So much potential there

The big idea they want is player based economy where you can purchase ships from people who are willing to get into that aspect of the game. The big issue with that is a low player base means effectively no economy. I hope they work to keep optimizing the game so they can have the player base they need for the economy to work

its because the devs are too stubborn they said "no pve no npc" so now instead of having a world populated with ghost ships and enemy npc factions with ships to destroy and harvest their loot its just empty.... this game could have been sea of theives in space but they decided to make it basically a single player sandbox

It may be important to add the ability for players to run their own server if they so chose, it would let the community do more things whilst waiting for development and more importantly keep the game from being instakilled if the main server has to go offline for a bit.

hey a bit off topic, but does frozenbyte have a paper regarding how they do their rendering for starbase? The mix between triangle and voxel meshes is incredibly interested and I would love to learn more about how to achieve something similar. I've also seen other people with a similar interest in the technology.

I really hope this game does well. The voxel destruction stuff if incredibly cool. I hope they make a full dev kit for community content so worst case people can psuedo Gary's mod the parts. The think it would make a sick survival explorer with procedural ai and human character models. I love the exos and the air of whimsy stiff has but the voxal destruction has massive potential as a grittier survival settler game. And if the character and AI work the same and kinda run like dnd character sheets it probably wouldn't be unusable to have also.

Soon™ XD Thanks again for this awesome event. It was a LOT of fun! We just wanted to join and started building a ship 1,5 week before tournament. Never expected to end up in finals XD. A lot of thanks to NikNik and Goodpraxice for doing tons of PTU fighting. That really gave us a bump in PVP skills. We hope to show our presence again next time!

Did a little research , and It bad . Starbase seems to not have any radar , how are pvpers supposed to find other players , it like a needle in a hay stack , your map is about 25000 km in diameter , you have basically zero chance just stumbling across someone , no wonder the game is fill with resources , nobody can see/find anything otherwise , you need 300 km(1.2 % of the map) , 600km(2.5%) ,1200km(5%),and 2500km(10%) radar . Why is every meter of this game filled with resources, i am not saying there shouldn't be stuff to look at , but why does every rocks have resources in it , pls remove all of it , with your player number 98 % of the rocks should not have anything in them , and have slow respawns . Safe zones 😑 . Let me tell you what happens in reality , nobody leaves the safe zone , because they can mine , build , and do everything that you can do outside of the safe zone and with zero risk , so why would they ever risk leaving the safe zone . In these game PvP is the way players compete with each other in a fun way , no PvP and what you have left with is a dead , boring game . I suggest removing ALL the safe zones , and replace it with a system similar to ashes of creation . Otherwise don't even bother try to develop this game again . I don't need to tell you , but your moons look like shit , don't even bother building the cities (no safe zone), players can do a way better job at build base (no safe zone) . The topography has zero level of detail , has almost no variety ,i can easily see the textures repeating(looks like a tiled surface) , very limited variety of textures , moons are barren waste lands (this does not only mean plants and animals . it includes weather , and geological activity). 😖those moons are gonna need years of development before they are even presentable . The moons looks like they were made from play dough.

Scam? There's a playable game, you can buy and play it. Just because it didn't achieve enough success for them to continue to develop it doesn't mean it was a "scam". Current internet culture is all about gotchas, zingers, and cancel culture... stop seeing a scam everywhere you look. They obviously built something they were passionate about, and it didn't live up to its potential. Grow up.

dear developers, please - start making a game, not a ship constructor, there is nothing banal to do in the game, the forum is littered with ideas for the development of the game, but for now you can only arrange a useless pvp tournament proving that there is no game, you need to introduce an mmorpg component into the game, not only pumping and farming resources, but also full-fledged events in pre-created zones, and not in empty space, the game has only a starting origin and a portal with empty moons, look at the implementation of all this in empyrion, that game is 7 years old and there was a ton of content from the very beginning and the players were built in, and here it's just an empty ship constructor like in scrap mechanic, create cities, space stations, limit the extraction of resources of a certain type to fight for these resources, the game needs pve, without it the game will remain dead, we need pve factions that will fight among themselves

Эта игра - песочница. И как любая ммо песочница старой школы - контент в ней всегда должен оставаться чуть-чуть незаконченным, чтобы игроки общались и пользовались инструментами. Мне не нужен ещё один eve online с многогранным сюжетом. Я хочу иметь много возможностей делать хоть что-то. А что-то я делать не могу, потому что даже конструктор кораблей не доделан.
