This takes me back to when I was a teenager (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth) and music was the one thing that kept me hanging on. I found my people eventually, and spent every last dollar I had going to shows with my friends. I remember my bff and I promising each other that we would never be the kind of adults that grew out of listening to rock, and continue going to shows, no matter how old we were. We're in our 50's now, and I'll admit, it seemed for a while like music got very bland, and rock and metal were on their way out....THANK YOU, STARBENDERS, FOR KEEPING ROCK ALIVE. When/if you come to Seattle, Portland, and/or Vancouver BC, my friends and I will be there, lighters held aloft, burning our fingers, dancing and screaming our heads off, and feeling 16 again. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

I loved this song! The more laid back vibes of the music are perfectly aligned with the attitudes we have started to develop in teaching others how to cope (which is to say, a complete lack of education there) with difficult and tough situations. Religion has become a place where we are all supposed to go for help, but so often those who need the most help are shunned by those communities and forced out, to look for help in other places, or to simply give up.

I absolutely love this song! Especially “we are not okay, no matter how much we pray” because I used to be religious and constantly pray and wish to be “fixed” or get better, but it didn’t ever help. Also the part about children not knowing how to deal, since there is so much going on in the world and kids are overwhelmed and haven’t been taught how to cope. Overall, definitely a song I will listen to on repeat!
