*_LANDING BAY ERROR ISSUES DETAILED (+ Full Interior Decorations Mod List)_* If you're getting an "All modules must be above the Landing Bay" error, this could be caused by a couple of things: 1. Avontech Blocks are bugged. The only solution that I've found so far has been to add Blocks one at a time. Take note of how many errors you're currently at before spawning a Block in, then spawn one in and see if the Landing Bay error gets added. If not, continue adding Blocks until it inevitably does, then Undo the last one that caused the error and place the spawned Blocks onto the ship, save what you can, exit and re-enter the ship builder, then repeat adding Blocks in one-by-one. Any time the error pops up, save what you can, exit the ship builder, and re-enter and retry the process. Hopefully kaos_nyrb can fix this soon. 2. The 2x2 REV-8 Workshop/Hangar hab must be placed one level above the Landing Gear. I believe the intention with this hab is to be able to lower the REV-8 via a lift, and so it has to be placed above the landing gear, otherwise the lift would clip into the ground. Can't wait for this functionality. INTERIOR DECORATION MODS [available on Creations]: *_MUST HAVE_* 1. Midas Manor Player Home 2. Betamax Functional Decor 3. Better Buildable Walls Vol. 1 *_RECOMMENDED_* 4. Panels 5. Weapon Displays Enhanced 6. Skully's Emporium AIO *_OPTIONAL_* 7. Starizon Ship Furniture 8.TN's Realistic Oxygen Meter 9. Cargo Panel 10. DJ Booth and More Consoles *_SHIP BUILDER MODS with interior functionality_* 11. REV-8 Hangar/Workshop 12. Place Doors Yourself My personal recommendation, you only need the top 5 for the perfect interior that's immersive in terms of actual functionality, while also looking really good. Also, you should definitely use Empty Habs to fully take advantage of these decorative mods. The top 3 alone are absolute gamechangers. Bravo to Dialectic (Midas), Betamax, and Miss_o (Buildable Walls) for really opening up ship building in new ways.

Another fix for the Avontech blocks is to double click your ship and bring it down or up a level or two, always clears the error for me

@@dannygleason5912 Yeah wishful thinking. I keep thinking of those instances when a landed ship takes off before you clear it. It's so close to being a seamless experience. I wouldn't mind a short fade to black or cutscene/loadscreen in-between but we're basically taking off and spawning in space in one sequence.

Though, for my next build, I’m incorporating the larger dish so that will definitely stick out, but I think it’s becoming my favorite build to date. @@BearyCoolGaming76 Midas Manor is hands down the best POI/outpost mod imo. I don't think any other outpost mod comes close to the scope of Midas Manor. It comes with a ridiculous amount of decorative items that you can craft. It's on par with Skully's Emporium AIO if not better if you ask me. Those workbenches in the Research Lab section are custom workbenches from Midas, and you get a crazy amount of decorative bundles too. So, all those case of medpacks, the cases of drinks etc etc all come pre-packed as a standalone decoration and there's like a hundred different kinds with furniture included. That stupid mod along with Betamax's Functional Decor is the reason I got stuck spending 12hrs throughout Labor Day Weekend just doing the interior of this ship. I fell down the decorative rabbit hole hard LOL

I've been using the Star Anchor for a few months now. One of the modifications I did to it was to make it 1 hab section shorter. Looks similar to what you did here. Sadly, I decided to enter the Unity again (dumb, I know) and now I have to rebuild it. I'll give this one a go. Great stuff as usual.

That's awesome to hear! The hab layout is actually similar in size and layout with one less 2x2 on the lower deck and a 2x1 instead to make room for the asymmetric wing on the starboard side. But overall it is still a 1x1 shorter as I shortened the top side structural parts. Kinda went overkill on the reactor/grav drive, but this one is totally optimized to be a daily driver and you can easily swap the Class M reactor/grav drive for Class C for a bit of a mobility boost too. I would think doing this would see a mobility boost from 90 to about 94-96.

@@emdee0014 Good add-on! The NG-20 Fore would look pretty good underneath. Starting to dabble with the Class M builds a bit more, but there's a slight learning curve to them so in this case, just using the components. But again, totally unnecessary for this build. I'd recommend to just stick with Class C. Hopefully I keep building ships you like! 🤜🤛

@@kwynszer There's a couple of issues that cause this: 1. The 2x2 REV-8 Hangar/Workshop hab has to be placed one level above the landing gear. I believe the mod author intends to be able to lower the REV-8 via a lift to be accessed outside and so you can't place this hab on the ground level (this shouldn't be an issue if you followed the build exactly so probably the second issue). 2. Avontech Blocks are bugged. Those pieces are so handy but last night while working on a build, I realized that they cause this Landing Bay error. I haven't locked down what the fix is but what worked for me was going at it one at a time. Take note of how many errors you have before adding the first Block, and see if the Landing Bay error gets added once you spawn one in. If it doesn't pop up, you should be ok with adding more Blocks, until the error inevitably does pop up. Once it does, Undo the last Block which should make the error go away, and then install whatever Blocks you were able to spawn in. Then exit the ship builder and come back and repeat until you have all the Blocks you need. Off the top of my head, you need at least 7-8 for this build. If the Landing Bay error pops up the moment you add the first Block in or doesn't disappear when you Undo, then remove the Block(s), save what you can and exit the builder then come back and retry. Based on my very brief testing, it's very hit and miss. Sometimes you get lucky, and the error doesn't pop up, and sometimes it pops up right away.

@@ysabellatrix they do work but they’re very hit and miss, and just finicky to work with. Best solution I’ve found is to go about them one at a time, then try to exit the ship builder if you can. More often than not, you can add a few at a time without getting the error. The moment you do get the error, just undo the last block and then save what you can, exit, and then go back into the builder. In any case, I won’t be using them until they’re fixed. My latest build uses a bunch of Nova Mini Bracers instead which are close in size to the Blocks.

So many reasons this build got delayed and a lot of it was diving deep in the interior decorating mod rabbit hole lol used it kind of as a testing ground to see which ones I plan to keep. There's at least 9 featured in the interior walkthrough so I'll detail them all out by importance since other people are asking as well: *_MUST HAVE_* 1. Midas Manor Player Home [custom workbenches and the best decorations] 2. Betamax Functional Decor [custom workbenches and the best decorations] 3. Better Buildable Walls Vol. 1 *_RECOMMENDED_* 4. Skully's Emporium AIO 5. Panels 6. Weapon Displays Enhanced *_OPTIONAL_* 7. Starizon Ship Furniture 8.TN's Realistic Oxygen Meter 9. Cargo Panel *_SHIP BUILDER MODS with interior functionality_* 10. REV-8 Hangar/Workshop 11. Place Doors Yourself Midas Manor, Betamax Functional Decor, Better Buildable Walls Vol. 1, and Weapon Displays Enhanced are the main newest additions and are the reason I took way too long on the interior. Midas and Betamax Functional Decor especially are truly special mods man. Those two provide custom workbenches & dispensers for everything + more, and the decorations are a huge upgrade from Skully's which are just the standard stuff you see.

Must be missing a snapping point so it's jumping up into the wing. See if you can add another HopeTech Pipe into the mix. I know it got a little messy there in my video, so no worries if things are exactly the same as what I'm doing...the whole portside wing is meant to just look broken up with a lot of exposed greebling, so feel free to throw in an extra set of Pipes to give you a bottom snapping point for that Landing Gear

That belt & holster are from zone79’s bounty hunter apparel and pack. Unfortunately it’s static with no functionality other than a bit of protection and legendaries that can be crafted, and the Regulator is the only pistol that shows. But it’s still cool 💪

@@dannygleason5912 😂 I had that whole shelf lined with safes too but every time I made changes to the ship, anything on that wall in the “cargo hold” and the “med bay” would delete, and bro I got so tired of lining those safes up I just stuck with 4 for the final product. They get pretty jittery inside the shelf

With Flipping back on the menu, I intend to sprinkle in Glitch builds again. At 4:38 you can actually see the glitch-only version of this build that was my entry for the Bethesda ship building competition. I was halfway done with the build video for that when the August update dropped removing Flipping and Variant Swap so I ended up just turning that ship into this modded build here.

Couple things: 1. This build was made well before any single power weapon mods or multiple component mods were added to Creations. Only one I had available was single power engines. So this ship was built with what was available at the time, please keep that in mind. The Basilisk X was made 11 days ago. There’s plenty of new OP ship mods available now than vs over a month ago… 2. That’s just way too OP for my playstyle. I really enjoy the ship combat in this game so not trying to do the equivalent of just one tapping enemy ships. Hence why I don’t even use particle beams on my ships. Even that on EXTREME difficulty at level 209 is too easy. So to overpower my weapons to a spec like that is something I would never do. What I do is provide *_ship design inspiration_* for builders to take and modify to their own specifications. You have a cool design here, you are free to add however many more DT-230 engines or weapons or shields you want to it. That’s the beauty of the ship builder bro, you take a design you think you like and make it work for you.
