My opinion is that it is like sending a signal to each and every citizen of North Korea that they are not alone, although it is not said that all of them know or are informed that this place exists. Just looking beyond is sending a message of solidarity to the other side and looking at reality is an economic benefit for your country, which in the future, could help others, on the other coast. Enjoy your coffee. 🙏

@ I have no idea what you are referring to. My comment was something like saying that people, tourists (ALWAYS MY OPINION, as an adult who has never visited either country) go with the desire to give something, with their heart, without seeing them, only showing affection, with distant glances.
@shadowslayer9988
@shadowslayer9988 Ай бұрын
@@creative-impact-grow That desire is because they falsely believe everyone in NK is starving because of SK news when if that was the case the population would not have grown to 26 million. When tourists who record their time in NK show the people eating, getting their hair done, going to work, using their phones, playing with their kid. Stuff you will not find in SK news when it is readily available on KZbin but it would not fit the narrative that they feed to SK who say they want to visit NK or "help" them when they don't know the actual situation.

Thank you for this, on a Canadian that couldn’t possibly understand your emotions What I will say is that my heart goes out to you. A country divided is a terrible thing. Especially when you know you’re healthy you can eat and you have freedom, and just across the river is a silent that you worry about having the lack of everything you do Sending love to the people of both sides, governments not withstanding. (the above is said with compassion for the citizens , not government)

@kathieensauerbrei51... Seems you have never traveled to NK, research people that have actually and you will learn more than you think you do. The country also is not divided there are two countries on the pensula and the people prefer it that way and that should be respected.

Triumph of capitalism! Starbucks has its merit, but unfortunately, some cafes are located in historical places where it just spoils those places' historical value and, in some cases, it spoils the landscape view. There should be respect for historical places and a good sense to preserve them instead of use them to make profit. It is not just Starbucks. Other big companies do the same, especially franchising companies.

That's not what he said. Why are you spreading lies? He said "[North Korea] that's also part of our land but it hurts not being able to go. How painful it must be for those from the North who can't visit their motherland." Very simply: South Koreans are sad because they can't freely visit the northern part of their homeland, and North Koreans must be sad not being able to visit the southern part of their homeland. This was once one country!

@@Bum-e2k You mean when China, Russia, AND the United States did. Also they have been separate countries for over 75 since they fought for independence against Japan to create their own countries, own government, and were both accepted into the United nations as separate countries.
