Regarding the fog of war, SC2's unit path routing works based on the information that you have as a player, rather than the actual state of the map. So if someone mines it out, your probe will move as if it isn't mined out, until you reveal the fog of war and gain new information about the state of the minerals.

I agree with the sentiment of if it is in the current patch it still can be worth viewing. Even some pre-current-patch vids would be nice at times to show differences that the patch caused. Like go back and watch a game with significant Cyclones from the previous patch and have a new patch game with Cyclones to compare their performance and costs.

I used to get my audio reset aswell. Not sure if this will help, but what i ended up doing to avoid that is disable the devices i dont use so it cannot change from them 😃

The reason the switching happens is that Windows switches devices to the last thing you plugged in, so if one device takes a variable amount of time to initialise you can end up with a semi-random choice of audio device when you boot up. Disabling the device forces the UPnP subsystem to just not load a driver for it, so you won't have that issue. Although I think this is separate to what Lowko was describing, which was the volume level being adjusted after a reboot.

Every time Windows updates with a security patch, it resets all my NVidia settings to default, and i have to go back and change them all back, to optimize the graphics. Windows is the absolute worst, and you can thank market monopoly for why we have to accept this reality. Windows is a resource hog, to boot, and there is no way to truly disable the auto-update.

I think it’s absolutely fine to cast games 2 or 3 weeks old so long as you, as the expert caster, makes apparent to the viewer, and contextualises, the different ebbs and flows in strategies and build orders. Which you always do anyway 😊

I feel like when you cast a game like this, you need to also show what's happening on the other side as well. Like during the first game at the end while the main army fight, I think there wan a baneling or zerg attack in the 4th base.
