Most of it isn't that odd - just a restinf hand position on the right side of the keyboard instead of the left side (wasd/qwer being the standard). For lefthanded people this is the normal way to do a layout, since it keeps the hand that doesn't go to the mouse in the sane spot and layouts like the core also use it to be able to use Shift/Control with your thumb easier. F1/F2 and A are really the only keys far from this (Home/delete also not that close, but with small keyboard/large hands I can see it) though that might also be extra buttons on your mouse, which you would often very specifically want to bind to something far from your usual buttons.

just build them up over time, if you want your own. YOu use a preset that you like, and then each week, month or day depending on how often you play and if you are not comfortable you simply go there change that unit hotkey or else and carry on. No biggy. He simply put a unit hotkey to one of the f keys from my understanding. THere are certain ergonomic tricks you can apply or think of. There is several people that tried to make more ergonomic hotkey layouts over the past, you can find them with a search engine, such as core. But yea the point is you can just try those look at their idea, and then try to incorporate some of it into your prefered one. It's just a hobby, so each day or week a little bit, easy and fun.

For anyone new watching this for the first time, this was probably the first speedrun to reach such fast times, but currently LiLArrin probably holds the record on this map, beating it in 3 in-game minutes.

well it's PVE at some point you have just memorized army compositions and positions based on your first scout... and then applying these OP tricks. All fair it's a PVE game and this was always fun in pve that you can do this since black and white colored game boys. if you enjoy it.

I highly admire people modifying the hotkeys to their liking, so always it's very good - FOR THEM, not for you.
