Even though the Zergling Baneling based armies are very popular at the professional level, Dark shows time and time again that Roaches and Ravagers are very valuable units.

11:02 made me wonder if the medivacs would heal the marines for less due to the microbial shroud

I think the healing mechanism is programmed as negative damage. If microbial shroud decreases damage as a percentage, it would heal the units for less. Plus why would a pro player waste control on something pointless during the combat which is the most apm demanding.

@@Benjaqu Yeah that is also what I had in mind. Not sure if that is actually how the game deals with it, but that would explain why Dark used it here. Though the possibility is always there that he just simply missclicked

Just spitballing a balance idea - I wonder what it would do if they moved the Tech Lab requirement from the Banshee to the Liberator. Banshees can come out sooner but they still can't get cloak until you have a tech lab, you can double pump them with a Reactor if you want to go for a mass Banshee army for some reason, and Liberators come out later in the game and can't be massed as easily.

Liberators one at a time would make Terran's late game worthless - Reactors are needed on Starports after the early game and there is no universe where 2 Banshees are better than 2 Libs.

No - I saw an uktralisk as big as a ramp. They were as big as a ravager after the update. At 12:20 they are meant to be smaller yet slightly bigger than a queen.

Perfect example of why i always advocated for removing the ravager from gameand replacing by some upgardes from heart of the swarm (tweaked to be balanced of course), when Byun can't win against such baisc build (executed at really high level by Dark, there is a problem! Also breaking guardian shields from Protoss shouldnt be so early in game. Same goes for Stalkers which NEED to be replaced by Dragoons (with their upgrades available of course) because Blink is so OP (if you don't agree or believe just watch Alpha star games vs pro players!

@@chrisR-B a "better" RTS wouldn't be enough to kill it. It would need to be an objectively better RTS that is very mechanically similar to sc2. People don't play sc2 just because it's an RTS. People play it because it's a production-centered macro and multitasking focused RTS. Unless a new RTS is better AND fills that niche, sc2 will still be relevant. And the only reason people think it's declining is because it takes up a proportionally smaller part of the market than it did a few years ago. But the market itself it much larger than it was a few years ago, so there is room for the percentage to shrink without a drop in numbers.

Dark has always be the most clean zerg player. I favor him over serral or raynor which sure are flashy but less smooth.

Eh I think Dark tends to be more flashy than Serral since Dark tends to be more fluid with his builds and Serral tends to be mechanically rigid with his builds

Lowko has been know to perform feats of strength while streaming. Math, sadly, is not one of them.

I think byun doesn't utlize specific units to the best of his use, Helbats and armory great coutner to zerg ground with blue flame, it breaks zerg clusters so effectively, for 100 minerals. I would build hellbats over marauders and save gas for cycling in Battle cruisers, to force zerg to go into air. Since Terran air is good. Marauders imo are great coutner to protoss and zealots, and protoss tend ot retreat back and forth, zerg typically goes unti ldead since retreating in an engagement causes to high of loss... but meh... I htink his unit composition to what is coming towards him is off. SO yo ucna transsion your hellbat/hellion transsion is great against early zerg. mixxing in hellions or converting them ina cut off retreat, since zerg retreats before a major engagemetn IE they see and leave.. helions cna change in hel bats and become pretty good pinch walls... Got othink in terms of exterminating a parasite. I htink going heavy with marauders.. is what caused the problems.. THe marines are great for reaching the ravagers and hitting the roaches.. but.. hell bats munch those front lines... each time he could of wiped out hte ravagers esepcialyl that one at 1 hp... he got pinched by the zerg, so could of done great work and probably owuld have no fogotten the armory.
